Yeah I read about this earlier today. And though I'm sure not the main reason I do think it had a little something with keeping the PED players out with the shorter window to get in. BUT I didn't read anywhere where they or anyone who falls short can still get voted in down the line a the veterans commitee.

I kinda' like the new rule, however, I WAN'T to see TRANSPARENCY by Voters...! Not contracts of confidential secrecy.....

I want to know those asswipes who don't vote for a 1st ballot HOF'er, don't vote for that said player, but vote for a Joaquin Benoit instead.

those voters, need to be dispelled, now lets see the HOF go to work on this one, TRANSPARENCY, not secrecy....WTF- is there to hide, WHY hide your vote, its not like Politics or is it.....????
 
BTW-glad Juicers are banned, but......I Want to see their records, hell it wouldn't bother me to strike out their entire careers from MLB archives, struck as well....sorry if its a bit to much for some.....

If Maris had an asterisk his entire life, then died prior to the asterisk being removed, let those SOB's Juicers rot with asterisks all their lives, and their grand-kids lives too.

I personally will not acknowledge anymore, Bonds, Palmeiro, McGwire, Sosa, Clemens, et al....

Tossed out there historical papers of feats, records, as well as tons of Baseball cards, not an easy thing to do.....(I just tossed wheelbarrows full of their shit last week-after years of trying to make the decision to dump or not)......End of Story-dumped.....!!!

I wish I was a voter, I'd begin petitioning the Hall to ban LaRussa.....sure he was a great coach, but IMO he knowing let his players cheat, IMHO.....

I definitely agree about the asshole voters who waist a vote going for guys that shouldn't even have there names on the ballot to begin with.

Let me see now, we've got Frank Thomas, Greg Maddox & Tom Glavine...........I'll vote for Bucky Dent.

Yeah seriously, I mean you waste a vote like that then you don't deserve to have a vote. Hell I love to know what sportswriters didn't vote for Willie Mays or Henry Aaron.

and we should...know....who voted for whom.....IMO...I don't see otherwise why not?

When the HOF puts forth the efforts to make voter ballots transparent to the public, then I will give them more respect, than simply having voters sign a confidentiality agreement.

Hell, its not like their on a Top Secret Program, and can't say a word to no one, not even their wives....! NO ONE...! til debriefed and as much is made public at least.

Again Rob I agree, it should be known, I mean this should not be a jury duty secret ballot. Maybe if these guys know that there votes are being made public the'll take it a little more seriously

I personally wouldn't say Tobacco tho' is a PED....more like a nerve thing....! A need to fidget, with one's hands, mouth, and kill time with. Just my OP.

Heck, I remember when Coke and LSD were not yet illegal. Shit did that fk up some peoples lives or what.
