In his last 2 seasons, DP averaged over 20 points per game, in addition to shooting over 50% from the field and an insane 45% from the three pt line. If Petrovic didn't die so young, what do ya'll think he would have accomplished?
It's hard to believe he didn't make the All-Star team in his last two years...he was obviously better than the peeps that made the roster (Alvin Robertson, Hersey Hawkins and Ricky Pierce).
IMO, if he lived longer and played till he was 35, these are the accomplishments I think he would have added to his resume:
3x All NBA 3rd Team
1X All NBA 2nd Team
4x All Star
For the Next stat, I based him playing an average of 75 games a year for 8 years, averaging at least 18 points.
Finish with 14,000 career points (The 20,000 point club in the NBA = 500 Home Run Club in the MLB) So if he finished with 14,000 points that's like hitting 350 Home Runs [Think legendary cats like Joe Dimaggio, Hank Greenberg, Jim Rice, and George Sisler).
How does he rank on your list of All-Time Nets (Buck Williams, John Williamson, and of Course Julius Erving)?
