We're only 10-11 games into spring training & already you announce that Drew is your opening day 2nd baseman. So he's currently 1-12, if he finishes spring going 5-50 he's really your starting 2nd baseman? WTF?

Girardi or Cashman's obstinance will prove to be
a fault that will cost the team. Foolish.

Totus,

Priceless. Cashman should be so lucky! LOL

yes, but the eldest just turned 7, so they don't truly appreciate the humor in it

aahh I know what you mean. In years to come, they'll roll on the floor watching it....! I knew your youngest boy was just that (too young), wasn't sure about your eldest....!

BTW- are you planning a Day Out at YS this year, like last years?

Those Pics you took and shared last year, were priceless....I put 'em up on my ScreenSaver......"Ginormous Popcorn".

I've always supported Girardi but if those kids have a better spring than Dudley Doo Right Drew and he gets that job it will just be one more wonder for this team.

Holy crap, did this thread take a left turn.

That would also be my feeling Michael.

We'll be going to Scranton/Wilkes Barre to catch a Rail Riders game near the end of June before we head to a nearby state park for a few days of camping... Don't know about YS

And that ginormous popcorn was awesome

...you had to wade that far back just to seek out a post of mine?...the obsession continues.

...I spend so much time inside your head, you should be charging me rent.

Wow....sure hope I wasn't that blind of a homer in past years. Lol!

Great idea Hammer.

I've always said, and knew from the time I was a kid, going to Minor Lg. games, is an entirely different (for the better in ways), for kids to feel closer to the game in many respects:

its very easy to obtain autographs of the Players, who are usually openly free to sign for kids, esp kids.

The Mgr's & Coaches are often retired MLB Players, like Nettles, Hough, J. Clark, Ryno, and tons of others, are also easy to obtain autographs in the Minor Lg Fields, where the same player in His Prime and on a MLB Diamond, were impossible to obtain autographs.

All seats are much closer to the fields, and on field chatter, and dugout talk, on the field talk b/t players, ensures one feels more in the game, than a mere spectator. Or so that's my experiences with Minor Lg. Games/Teams vs MLB games/Fields....

Much smaller parks make for a closer knit family of Fans and Players alike....

Add too that there's interactive activities in between each inning... Should be a good time.

Plus, the last game we went to there, we caught Jeter rehabbing... That was cool

Yes, obviously you've seen some fun Minor League Games, I forgot about the in b/t inning games. The kids usually get to run either across the OF, or around the bases, (in earlier years, before to many kids tripped over the bases). Yeah, that would make for I bet a better time for the boys, than a game at YS.

I Love watching Minor Lg. Ball locally, a CA Lg. Team, (changed teams now 5 times in 20 yrs, a nice change of pace for their Home Club Prospects, rather the Fans getting to know different Teams youths honing their skills, and a few old timers, rehabbing.

Speaking of rehabbing, what's Meter rehabbing. Honestly I'm not familiar with it. Curious too?

They got to run the bases last time & will be able to this time.

Sorry, that was an autocorrect error... Jeter, not Meter... Corrected now
