Alex is correct. If all teams win out, San Antonio has the tie breaker on Houston, and Houston has the tie-breaker on us. Thus we'd be the odd man out on HCA.

(I was trying to find the other thread on this) If Houston and San Antonio both win out, Houston has the tie-breaker, correct?
So, then, if we all win out, the Blazers would end up 4th, hosting San Antonio the first game of the playoffs, correct?
I'm so confused!![]()
You're right--Houston and San Antonio get down to the fifth tie breaker, which is record against Western playoff teams. Houston's is better, so they would win the division and get the 2 seed (by virtue of their tie-breaker over NW winner Denver), and we would get the 4 seed over San Antonio. You have everything straight now.

correct so root for houston loss!Lemme get this straight, though. If we win out and Houston (without Yao, I hear) loses to, say, Dallas, we'd then get 3rd seed, correct?
