20 years ago I wouldn't have thought twice about it. Knowing the world today I was wondering if it was bad enough to get me in trouble. If Cam Newton said it for example.

What he said was on about the same level.

I'm not famous so nobody cares I hope.

Leaving the gym last night. Walked into the locker room and turn and see two guys holding another guy down and basically tickling him I guess.

I looked at them, walked by and said "that's kinda gay"

Grabbed my shit and left.

So, on a scale of 1-10 how wrong was I?

I mean.... it literally looked pretty gay so I wasn't technically wrong.

Have to give you a .05, and only for politically insensitive enough to potentially place yourself in a position to be in harms way.

With that being said, I have been made aware (by my wife and daughter) that I have a look that displays disapproval to such a degree, that even without saying something (to witch I doubt I would have been able to refrain) would have made the same point.

All in all, damn funny story.

Who cares? “Somebody thinks differently than me, I should over think and question them on their behavior”

It’s
Funny

If any one you think it's homophobic, ask yourself one question. Had it been two hot women holding down a third hot woman, would you think....hope lesbian action would break out?

So what I'm hearing is "20 years ago I could disrespect people without consequence, but nowadays people who are disrespected feel empowered to stand up for themselves and I find that slightly inconvenient in that I might get in trouble somehow."

I don't think what you said is as bad as what Cam Newton said though, so I wouldn't worry.

He obviously cares, or he wouldn't have asked what we thought. You already gave your very insightful take on the situation. Let others have their turn.

I think what can newton said is fine people are just over dramatic. Sorry but it’s pretty funny hearing a woman talk about routes. It’s like my girl acting like she knows about the nba. It’s hilarious. The white knights and pc police out here in full force

I’m sorry but two dudes tickling each other in a locker room in front of everybody is pretty annoying. I wouldn’t say shit but I would be thinking how faggy it was

"Making sweeping pejorative generalizations is totally cool and funny, especially when I can name one example from my real life to back up those generalizations."

That's because you're more concerned with being perceived as a complete asshole than actually being one.

If you weren't concerned with your perception you'd just say it out loud.
I don’t agree with what body man did but being a logical thinking person he seems like a good guy so I doubt it was out of a place of homophobia or whatever. Before you start labeling people, you gotta see their side. Sure you can call me an asshole or do I just have a sense of humor? Hmmm maybe it’s not all that serious. Think about it.

Hey I already dealt with bodyman in a civil and humorous way. Him and I are done.

You and your posts are the subjects at hand right now, and I'm saying that your posts make it sound like you are really homophobic but don't want to come off that way in public because you don't want people to know. That's all. Nothing big. If you want to double down, go for it; if you want to backtrack, go for it. But I'm responding to what you posted about "faggy" behavior.

Because I said faggy? That’s all it takes? Wow guess I’m a raging homophobe then.

Lol

I'm a bit worried you might be, by your posts. Sorry, buddy. Your posts make you sound like a real piece of work.

That’s fantastic, I’m glad you can know all about a person based on their posts. Amazing talent you have

I don’t know any more than what you post, but that speaks volumes. If you’re not a homophobe who is mostly just worried about people not knowing it in public then maybe you shouldn’t post like you are.

I'd say people having a tickle fight in a guy's locker room are the disrespectful ones. Saying they were kinda gay 20 years ago wouldn't even register as an insult. It equates to "what a bunch of fu@@$ fa%$#" in today's world.

My sister is a lesbian. I want her to have all the rights other's have. I don't even mind two guys kissing in public anymore. Seen it so much it doesn't register.

However, creepy tickle fights with two guys holding another on the ground should still be unacceptable in a men's locker room.

Sorry must be my toxic masculinity...

Yeah...the whole thing about two on one tickle fight...thats too close to foreplay. You know, in the old days, someone would be close to whipping out a rubber

I'm pretty sure you've jerked off to the memory of this tickle fight already.

I mean, sure, it sounds like they were horseplaying in a public space, which is disrespectful. I get that. What I don't get is why your commentary is that they are being 'gay'? If they're being disrespectful, and you have no problem with gay people, then why call them 'gay'? Why use 'gay' as an insult?

That's why I asked the question. I don't have a problem with gay people at all.
