Somebody find the link to the draft day thread from BFF. WOuld love to see how many people were unhappy about us drafting Greg. Bet there weren't many.
2 years ago I sold my Durant Blazers jersey for a G.
For real?
It's pretty bad but I can't imagine what Seattle fans are going through.
They didn't just lose their team -- they lost a potential dynasty.

Anyone that says they would have taken Durant #1 at that time is a dirty liar. That draft was the Oden draft through and through.

FYI, so serious that I had the jersey. Even picked up the gain on my tax return.
I'm not sure why you were not considered for the GM position. Your talent evaluation is obviously stellar.
My brother is in Seattle and used to split season tickets for the Sonics. I was at his house with the family over Memorial Day, and he literally refused to put on Game 1 of the OKC/San Antonio series. He stopped following the NBA.
Only Blazer fan I know that was advocating for Durant was a University of Texas grad I worked with. I found this blog kind of interesting. I think his analysis at the time was right on and pretty consistent with conventional wisdom at the time. We will never really know what Oden could have been. It really doesn't make much sense to keep rehashing it. Injuries decimated the ability to even compare the two.I'd say it was about 97% Oden. I knew a few people who wanted Durant. They weren't huge Portland fans, so I thought they were haters, but those same peeps are total Portland fans now, so I think they were legit.
