Y'all knew this was going to happen.

Nassir Little time!

If we werent tanking before, we are now! All aboard!!

O live says it was a ruptured tendon

Hood left Wednesday’s game against the Sacramento Kings with 4:41 left because his Achilles tendon felt sore. Hood told The Oregonian/OregonLive ahead of Friday’s game that his Achilles was still bothering him, but he felt it was manageable and he would be able to play against the Lakers. That turned out to be a mistake.

Dame and the Blazers won’t tank. It’s not in their DNA. They’ll dig in during this favorable home stand and will win enough to stay in the playoff hunt until Nurk returns. Olshey will make a trade. The Blazers will make the playoffs. You heard it here first.

Who in the FUCK gave Hood the green light to play on a sore Achillies? Good Lord ....
That thought crossed my mind too, but Im too sad too be mad right now, I dont remember what stage of grief anger is but Im sure I’ll find it...

ok then....this puts the spotlight on the Blazer medical staff. For chrissakes, this seems just like the Durant situation.

somebody needs to explain the decision to let Hood play when his Achilles was sore...that's not something you risk

Honestly.... trade Whiteside and Bazemore for assets. The whole thing is a wasted season.

We can’t get assets for them unless we take on longer term bad deals. That could actually be a half decent idea, our cap will be bloated with Dame and CJ deals for the next 5 years anyway so we will basically scrap enough money to get a MLE during that period anyway.

Well the Blazers can file for a disabled player exception. It's not gonna replace Rodney and they might not use it because of the tax implications but they can sign a free agent up to $3 million for the rest of the year or trade for someone up to that amout but they have to be in the final year of their contract.

Basically it's like an extra roster spot.
Good information

You could see the team was devastated when he went down. I'm not saying they would've won with him in the game, but you could just tell it was a death blow.

I hope it means more minutes for Little (silver lining), but I suspect it means Tolliver and Mario play more.

This just makes it way worse UGH. Stotts will probably refuse to play Nas at the 3 for no reason

2015...we add Afflalo, he integrates seamlessly, lineup is looking strong; 6 games in, Wes tears his Achilles.

2019...we add Melo, he integrates seamlessly, starters return from injuries and lineup is looking strong; 6 games in, Hood tears his achilles.

Clearly the situations were not identical, but it's hard not to see similarities.

He's stubborn. I understand "confidence", etc, but you can only learn so much in practice situations. And it's not like this season isn't already done for, why not just throw him out there a little more and hope he can thrive.

I could understand if he was an insecure mess like Meyers, who if you looked at him wrong he would wilt and regress 3 weeks...but Nassir seems to be able to adjust, adapt and grow. Something Meyers never did have.

Well, that should mean the team finds Rodneys replacement (CJ in the case of Matthews injury) who is actually a better replacement/player (albeit, defense isn't CJs strong suit)
