she's not in the NFL, this isn't the Mexico City Olympics, or the 70's.
She's gonna' be holding her breath, rather sitting on her ass in the brigade, until kingdom come, in this case.

wtf- does no Recruiter test for literacy before they let new enlistee's pass, or do recruits simply not read the fine print, eg you are the Federal Government's servant employee by choice.

what blows my mind is how many of these types of idiots have to flaunt their selfies, on top of breaking a law...!
Selfie's, Twitter,... either unharnessed; un-checked >>-chaos...
dishonorable discharge if she's lucky, yet undeserving should be any soldier/turncoat on a team they signed up for....

the only way these asshats know how to unite is to destroy, divide, and cause havoc in lieu of negotiate with peaceful respectful diplomacy, (especially when they're in no position to ask for concessions, let alone demand them)... not in their vocabulary or brain, a mental genetic trait??? ::: "Error 404 - page not found"

Note: page '12' shown in the bottom left page of the 2nd attachment/file, will be page 16 as shown in top bar of .pdf file.

Reference note #148, (attachment 2) on pg 16 of .pdf, utilizing "zoom" (speaking for myself). Reference previous pages utilizing note 148. It's worth reading the entire Article - "The Flag, the First Amendment, and the Military."

I know this is an Army Publication, yet it serves the purpose.

^^^I hope she's dishonorably discharged...I'm so sick of the race card defense being played so much and I'm so sick of the "I'm black, therefore I'm persecuted" crap.

Without going south with the vocabulary the Civil Rights Acts did not pertain to the military. The Armed Services can reject any candidate for any reason period. Once you raise your right hand and take that oath it becomes the law of your life once you are on active duty. In the case of this "sailor" she should have completed her enlistment then jumped on the "All Gods Chillun Aint Free Bandwagon. In ceremonial actions that means you honor the flags, anthems, and courtesies of our host nations. I hope they sock it to her, don't need this "card pulling" I don't like this or that" so I'll act like a child with a full trunk.

^^^^ same here. My wife and I talk often of this very same thing. How kids are taught early in life to use the "You're only picking on me, because I'm black".

Those were the exact words she heard weekly on the Jr. High School playgrounds during lunch duty; when she worked for the school district beginning in the latter 80's. Kid's using the race card, probably the first full complete sentence they're taught to speak....

There are now many cards in the "poor me" deck. Shit happens every day, it's called life, some times you have to just suck it up and drive on. That woman was given the opportunity to join the Navy, get a decent rate, strike for her stripe, and got paid. How much more EO do you want.

ntm, losing a valuable TSAR, and future post retired career as well; in a high tech field obviously in the Nuclear world. She just said bye to a lucrative profession/field.

"I turn on the tube and what do I see
A whole lotta people cryin' "Don't blame me"
They point their crooked little fingers at everybody else
Spend all their time feelin' sorry for themselves
Victim of this, victim of that
Your momma's too thin; your daddy's too fat
Get over it
Get over it
All this whinin' and cryin' and pitchin' a fit
Get over it, get over it
You say you haven't been the same since you had your little crash
But you might feel better if they gave you some cash
The more I think about it, Old Billy was right
Let's kill all the lawyers, kill 'em tonight
You don't want to work; you want to live like a king
But the big, bad world doesn't owe you a thing
Get over it
Get over it
If you don't want to play, then you might as well split
Get over it, get over it
It's like going to confession every time I hear you speak
You're makin' the most of your losin' streak
Some call it sick, but I call it weak
You drag it around like a ball and chain
You wallow in the guilt; you wallow in the pain
You wave it like a flag, you wear it like a crown
Got your mind in the gutter, bringin' everybody down
Complain about the present and blame it on the past
I'd like to find your inner child and kick its little ass
Get over it
Get over it
All this bitchin' and moanin' and pitchin' a fit
Get over it, get over it"

...compliments of Don Henley

^^^good job finding the video...I couldn't find it on you tube either...but yeah, some artists. Don Henley especially, are fanatical about protecting their brand and copyrights.

...^^^ WTF ?...I just threw up in my mouth.
I could only look for 2 seconds Michael Jackson surgery number 33 or Carla from Cheers before make up

Van Morrison protects his music rights too. Too bad he is 90% drunk in concert.

...big fan of his and I can't think of a better songwriter/lyricist from my generation, maybe ever.

...Henry David Thoreau had a very strong influence on me as a teen/young adult and the only time I donated money directly to a cause was for Henley's "Walden Woods Project" (Don is a huge Thoreau fan as well).
...actually a pretty good CD if you are an Eagles fan at all...just a collection of some of the most well known Country Western stars singing the songs of the Eagles. Vince Gill absolutely nails Timmy Schmidt's "I Can't Tell You Why"...all of the proceeds of the album went to a fund to forever protect's Thoreau's Walden Pond site from greedy developers.

indeed, Van's been on a binge for 40 yrs now, it seems? I saw Rick Danko and Levon Helm play together (post Band) in Huntington Beach's old landmark night club, The Golden Bear in 79. Van was on the bill, lived just down the street, and didn't show up. Seem's Van has been known to lose himself to his booze for decades now, a shadow of the man he once was? Ironic too, as Danko would die too young from his own bout with drinking, drugs, rock and roll...

^^^^Thanks for this tip, I was unaware this CD existed, and for a great cause too....

Thoreau was brilliant, epic, classic and insightful, as good as writer philosopher's come....

I've long admired Henry's determination canoeing through the Maine Wilderness during a time, when wilderness traveling was a matter of life and death. Extremely inspirational author, Walden's as good as any American author's work ever was. Love Emerson's work as well, and the life style of living deep in thewoods, outside of society's ills. My idea of a grand life, not for most or anyone, and/or those faint of determination.

...Matts, I may be telling you something you already know, but the land at Walden Pond which Thoreau lived at for a couple of years while writing "Walden" was actually owned by a close friend of his...Ralph Waldo Emerson.

I thought so, and I've long imagined what Walden Pond and that very wilderness was like in its untouched splendor, as well as what those woods were like during the early mid-1800's....during the time, era of Thoreau, Emerson pre-settlement days of that area. From their works, it sounded breathtaking, a taste of heaven on earth.... It's obvious how inspiring Walden was to entice the minds thoughts, in the written word, for Thoreau, Emerson also...

I'd love to visit Walden Pond St. Park today, though I've never been to Massachusetts....Kim's been to Walden park, when she was a kid; she grew up in Maine. Mass, and Boston were places her family often visited. She's had family spread across ME, VT, MASS, upstate NY.

She's often said when we were in Georgia, that Ga. was more like N.E. than any other states....

She compares the Northwoods, WA, Ore, northern Cal to Maine, and compares Mass to Ga....

She's got a great bunch of Uncle's, one a literature major and retired teacher; only problem is, they don't know a great baseball team when they see one....lol...
