What a heartbreaker.

Damn. That's tough to ask Jerryd to take that shot when he's got no rhythm. Oh well, good game nonetheless.

Blazers desperatly need a second scorer, LMA is NOT the answer, Guy is the biggest 4th quarter Blazer choker ever.

Now that the basketball game is over, let the blame game begin! Gnite folks.

Players I would rather see take the last shot before Bayless =
Roy,Travis,Rudy,Nic,LaMarcus,Steve,Greg,Joel,Martell,Juwan,Andre, and possibly Patty Mills.

Oh sweet, we're back to epic meltdown game threads. Night all.

I thought it was Miller's job to attack the basket at the end of the game.

Thats cause you're old and have dementia

Terrible defense in the last 4 minutes + No go-to 2nd option outside Roy = Very predictable loss

Yeah, because Miller didn't choke either in our other poessissons. How about you cut Bayless a break, it looked good. Bayless is a better option than Aldridge.

That sucks, just couldn't hit at the end. We had a lot of decent shots just none connected and we couldnt stop them from connecting. Not blaming this loss on anyone, we just couldn't seal the deal and it seems to be a theme this year.

Overall a very impressive effort.

In an alternate universe where they call fouls every time you intentionally clobber a player's head, we win this one easily.

Meltdown started when Aldridge got the ball wide open at the baseline with the shot clock running down and didn't know what to do, afraid to shoot, resulting in fast break 3 point play the other way.

QFT

that was the turning point... 100% correct

also miller has to make those free throws...

Nate was clearly exposed tonight. Letting the starters play as much as he did was a joke. Bayless and Rudy should have played the whole 4th. Bayless could have had a better in rythum shot. Bayless could also attack the Hornets and gotten to the line. Rudy was rebounding like none other and was making big baskets as well. Horrible decision by Nate.

You're not allowed to criticize Nate here. Unless your tears provide culinary bliss.

Guh. Another giveaway. Why is it that we have enough heart, scrap and will to get it done undermanned for 44 minutes, only to give away the games at the end? It was like bizarro-offense there for a few minutes...PFs and C shooting late-in-the-clock 20-footers, PGs posting up in a packed-in lane, shooters standing idly by while open on the 3pt line, backup PG getting the final shot.

Great effort for 44 minutes. But the same result as the Knicks' 50-point loss.

I don't care who's hurt or healthy, there is no excuse for blowing an 8 pt lead in 2 minutes at home. No FG's in the last 4 minutes? Terrible.

Batum was only allowed to play 5-7 minutes a half, so it would be tough to play him the entire 4th quarter. Sorry for letting facts get the in the way of a good Nash bashing.

It's Nate's fault NOH has a superstar to go to down the stretch, and we don't...

Where did I say Batum? Read again please.

He had a wide open shot from the FT line to win, it wasn't like CP3 hit a contested 3. It was huge mental lapse on the Blazers.

Not being able to depend on your $65M PF down the stretch is a little sad...

Did you see the play? CP3 fell down and was laying in the middle of the key! Had David West drove the lane while Steve Blake was standing on top of a player laying on the ground people would be wondering why he wasn't helping.

I really enjoyed that game -- except the final score of course. Nico came right out of the shoot and reminded me why he's my favorite Blazer (my daughter's too). He's as silky and spidery and athletic as George Gervin, has great court awareness and just has great instincts and reactions. Oh, and his defense is pretty good too. He's still in my fav 4 and untradeable. As I've said since last season, Nico and Webster should be all the SF we need. Rudy shook off the rust tonight too and made a lot of good plays. I'll have to check the stats but it seemed like he was doing everything including rebounding. Good effort by the Blazers but there was just too much Chris Paul controling the game at the end, and not enough No. 7 controling our end.

Cheers.
