An artilce today about how Houston would be one of the few teams Camby would want to be traded to (He lives their in the summer) made me think about AB.

Houston has two good PG's but needs a center.

Would you guys want a Camby for A.Brooks trade? (They would have to throw in a Jarred Jefferies to make the money work.

Veteran center Marcus Camby doesn’t like change, and sources said he would prefer to remain with the Portland Trail Blazers past the trade deadline. There is one exception, however: Camby lives in Houston in the offseason and would welcome the chance to play for the Rockets. Camby signed a two-year, $25 million extension with Portland at the end of last season. With Yao Ming out for the rest of the season, he could give the Rockets some much-needed size. The Blazers, however, continue to say they currently don’t have any significant trade discussions involving Camby. Yahoo! Sports

Jordan Hill/Shane Battier also works under the cap.

Aaron Brooks is the only player Houston wants to keep according to the Houston Chronicle.

Battier to me is not that much of an upgrade from Batum. We need offense in any trade we do IMO.

I'd do the trade. A PG for the future for a center with one more year left in him. Easy.

Yeah the more I think about it we would have to sweeten the pot. Send Houston that Claver MVP month video!

I think they're kind of in a rebuilding mode too with Yao basically done. I don't know if Camby would help them much.

When I first read this, I thougt AB meant after Brandon. As someone said already, Brooks seems to be the one guy they want to keep. Are we still interested in Kevin Martin? A redundant player to be sure, but I am thinking of assets only. Letting my imagination run a little bit, I cam up with these trades that might help us long term. Assuming Brandon is tradable at all, I will try and trade him for less than full value to try and be realistic.

Trade 1
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=2as7gc4 Camby and Rudy to Houston for Kevin Martin. Portland also sends their own pick to Houston

Trade 2
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=28873yz Batum, Oden and Roy for Harris and Favors. Portland also sends a conditional pick to Denver based on games played by Oden next year

Trade 3
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=3ylzk6a Miller and Joel for Randolph, Curry and Azubuike

So we end up with something like

Devin Harris/Johnson/Mills
Matthews/Martin
Kevin Martin/Azubuike/Babbitt
Favors/Randolph
Aldridge/Curry

Favors can slide to the 4, Johnson can slide to the 2 and Randolph can slide to the 3

It's just trading to trading, but I think it makes us better in the long run, and gets us out from Roy's contract.

I'd do it for Kyle Lowry and Patrick Patterson.

Aaron Brooks isn't bad, but isn't anything special. I'd rather have DJ Augustin, though (and I'm not a huge fan of Augustin). Augustin is only a bit worse, but significantly younger. If the team is looking to rebuild, I'd rather go for the Wallace/Augustin deal and look for something else with a Camby trade.

He's been 'meh' this season but he's been beasting with Silas and their new uptempo system.

Is there really any pG out there that is "anything special", that is available? Looks doubtful. If that is the case then we better keep Miller and look for some scoring from the SF spot. Who is out there?

Draft picks do not excite me.

I like Eric Maynor, think he's got good upside and he was behind Deron in Utah and now Westbrook in OKC. Pass first and very few turnovers.

Brooks is better and more proven than Augustine. Both are young. I like Brooks way better.
