Sounds like a smart decision.

I don't see why his personal wealth has anything to do with how he runs a business.

Run a business to make money.

Give money and setup charities to help people.

If his business starts acting like a charity it'll be bankrupt.

He could just give them money from his giant money bin, but sure.
You and me could probably give these people some money too.

That doesn't solve anything.

There is no work to perform for these business and thus no jobs. Casinos and restaurants are decimated. The solution is to eventually allow business to run and have government intervention if required to smooth the macro economy. Requiring rich people to give money away doesn't solve anything.

Not to say the rich should get all the tax breaks they got in the stimulus packages, those are ridiculous.

Article says they are furloughed, which I believe let's them keep healthcare benefits.
My wife was being paid her base salary by her company until the govt gave the extra 600 bucks. That made it a 100 more a week she would make on unemployment so they furloughed her.

My wife was devastated and I was happy.

We make more and her employer stays stronger...

And it's for 39 weeks. That's about $5000 a month for my husband and me for 9 months. Not bad.

Keep their benefits, unemployment plus the extra from government. Probably not the worst thing.

Not great, obviously, but I see his thinking

She is not allowed to even take a phone call or email from work now.
