Anybody else think the Rockets will cool down in Game 4? I don't see how they can keep shooting this well. They shot something like 80% from the field in the second quarter. And Battier hit some huge 3's from way beyond the line. I can't imagine this will continue for the whole series, but maybe it will. What do you think?

you know what they say, all nba players can hit open shots when nobody is near them. LA didn't close out nearly hard enough on houston's PF's. they jsut stood there and made wide open jumpers.

The way Houston is shooting, and the fact that they're being allowed to be so physical on defense, I don't even think the Lakers can beat them. Fucking unbelievable.

You know what, if they are allowed to play the Lakers this physically (assuming they move on) from what I've seen of the purple and piss, they don't play with nearly enough urgency and grit and I think Houston would have a helluva shot at taking them down.

If they were to move on, and I'm confident they won't, there is no way LA shoots only 10 FTs in a quarter, let alone an entire game.

In spite of Houston's pretty darn good shooting in spurts, the Blazers held them to seven below their season average. I'd say the problem isn't so much Houston's offense (or the Blazers' defense) - it's Houston's defense (and the Blazers' offense). The Blazers are better suited to beating a team, say 98-95, than 88-85. I heard Nate talking about "execution" in his post-game comments - he's talking about the offensive end of the floor. Other than Rudy, really, no one had a good game.

So you're a transplanted Rockets fan living in Portland, eh?

I meant that I hope it will cool down - the shots some of these scrubs are knocking down are really pissing me off.

A new hero is born with every game, so ... this series is pretty unpredictable as to who will do what.
Quite interesting, though.

I think if they shoot anywhere near 46% the series will be 3-1 on Sunday. Houston's defense is just too much for a young Blazers team.

Lets hope the cool down. If not, the series is over. Their roll players are shooting like all stars.

You mean their fouling?

Hard fouls are part of the game, especially in the playoffs.

The Blazers aren't used to playoff defense. Every shot is contested, every lay-up is fouled. Sometimes the officials call it depending on the contact sometimes they don't.

Get used to it.
