It's doubtful that they'll pick Nashville as they don't really have any thing set up, same with Charlotte. Nashville became the sexxy pick, even though if you look into it their effort is far behind that of Utah and Portland.

Realistically, if they decide to do an east coast and west coast, I think it's between Portland/Utah and another city out east. But imho thinking they have to go east/West would be stupid, because west of the Mississippi , MLB has 11 teams (and west of Colorado there are a *total* of 7). There are 10 teams within 600 miles from Nashville, for example, and there are zero teams within 600 miles of Seattle. Hell, the closest MLB team to Seattle is (Sacramento) is still over 700 miles away.
I think both Nashville and Charlotte could put something together in days that would eclipse what Portland has provided.

800 million from the state isnt exactly easy to come up with, especially considering availability of funds after they already paid for the titans stadium. Plus, as much as we joke about it, the PDP is already in place where there is no such thing in those cities

that’s what I said. Realistically it should be Portland and Utah who get awarded

agreed. People like Ironman just can’t phantom Portland doing anything big. It’s not his fault. We’ve been to small town minded for a long time and it’s hard to believe something like this could happen

You do understand that 800 million isn't coming from the state right?

Listen kid. I actually was on the crew that built the Rose Garden. I also was there building the Tram. I personally tensioned the spandrels on the Sellwood Bridge and ran the crew that pulled the cables on the Tillicum Crossing. I worked two years on the retractable roof on the Diamondbacks Stadium. I am currently building Gor 2 the largest data center west of the Mississippi for Google.
When you get even the slightest clue on what you are talking about you come back and join the conversation.

Yeah, but you do understand that Nashville doesn't have the ability to do something like it?
Nashville could put 10 investors to Portland's one in a room tomorrow if they needed to. There is a bunch of money in Tennessee. Don't kid yourself.
