How can you still believe in Lillard?

Are you serious?
Most of the time, a Career high would trump a numeric milestone I would think?

Dame IS a CAMFRT

Somehow, I don't think that one is gonna catch on, but it is the truth.

What's a camfrt? did you misspell camfart? I'm not sure I'd refer to Lillard as a cam fart.

Lol, i have to admit it, giving the timing of his career high this thread could sound ironic, but realistically speaking I stand with my opinion, 5 years of Lillard are a better evaluation than only one game.

Let's see it in the playoffs if I was wrong, not against Exum, Mack and Neto.

You know, sometimes when you've just cut a really nasty fart it's best to just leave the room until it fades away. Sticking around risks a repeat incident.

He proved he can do it. So why doesn't he do it every night? #mailingitin

Nate McMillain watched the fourth quarter last night and said, "I could have made him do that EVERY NIGHT!"

Dame playing the game like Roy.

How many PG's are better than Dame and how many of those are available? Yeah I think I am still sold on Dame. Even if he is inconsistent.

I doubt many of you who always talk about our players being inconsistent watch every other team on a nightly basis. (Who would) All shooters tend to be streaky. You just notice it more when you watch every minute that they play.

Are we really trying to compare a future HOF in Westbrook and a player who's not even an All Star in Lillard?
Jeremy Lin was an allstar.....get over yourself dude....or go back to the Thunder fanbase and praise you some Westbrook....Dame is an allstar.....once an allstar, always an allstar...and rookie of the year and setter of records only Oscar Robertson had accomplished....sucks for you to throw shade of one of the best players in modern history...but you really have no biz spouting this crap around here...Thunder's site is down the hall on the right.....bye

I'm here, and yes, it's so childish to bring up the thread after 1 good game.

We all know he can explode on any time, but still his performances are a roller coaster.

Playing against DLeaguers like Exum and Mack helps too, you won't see him score 26 in a quarter against CP3.
Although I'm not sure why I'm even bothering responding, I'm bored before I have to leave this morning.

If you want proof that someone is just trolling, look for unrealistic expectations being used to prove their point. "you won't see him score 26 in a quarter". As if scoring 26 points is a regular occurrence.

"after 1 good game" as if he's never had games similar to this (maybe not in points total, but in overall game performance).

It's almost as if Sly has created a fake screen name to create revenue for Denny.

Lillard scored 51 points against the Warriors February 19th, 2016 while they were on their way to the best winning season record ever. Sure I don't know who guarded him in that game but it was against the Warriors and not some D league team.

I'll bet if we looked over other elite players history in the NBA we could easily find games or strings of games where they had off games.

Maybe I'm in the minority at this point, but I still think he's in the top 5.

Westbrook
Harden (I still hate that he is a PG now)
Curry
CP3
Dame

Would anyone take Lowry over Dame if you had the choice? Would you take Thomas? Wall? Kyrie?

Frankly, at this point in his career, I wouldn't even take Paul over Dame. When he was younger? Absolutely. Paul was extremely fun to watch when he was in New Orleans. Out of that list of players, there's really only one guy that I would take if I had the choice and it's Curry. I can't stand Westbrook or Harden.

Comparing Lillard to Westbrook and Harden, Lillard is a short shrimp. He needs to work on that weakness. 3 more inches and he'll be in their league.

I don't think you're in the minority.
But winning matters in an era where you have about 15 point guards who are top tier talent.
Even more if you factor in the aging vets.
Talent wise Lillard is easily in the top 5 of point guards.
But record matters.
Westbrick
Thomas
Wall
Curry
CP3

imo Har_den isn't the point guard for the Rockets, Beverly starts with Harden in the backcourt.
Majority of the Cavs offense is ran through LBJ. Doesn't make him a point guard.

Most points scored by a NON allstar? I know back in the day Tracy Murray and Jason Kappono had 50? Sure some random guys have had big nights, but is this the most?

I stopped believing when he choked two free throws at the end of the game. So disappointed he only had 59 and couldn't reach 60.
