I have photos on my iPhone I want to upload but the site won't allow it cause the pics are too big. Help please.

Do you know how big these files are? Something like: 1MB? 10MB?

I changed the settings to allow up to 10MB. Let me know if that is still too small.

However, you should probably reduce the size of the files/images on your computer rather than uploading a 10MB image. The images that size are 8 megapixel or whatever. 8 megapixels is something like 2Kx4K - way more pixels than 99.99% of the users' browsers out there.

If you're a windows user:

If you're a mac user:

1024x1024 would be the biggest I'd recommend. You can try different width/height combinations and see what size looks best to you.

Upload the photo to http://imgur.com/ after it's uploaded right click on it, then click View Image. Copy and Paste the pic address into here.

FYI

Your uploaded image is really huge. The site resizes it but says "click on image to view full size"

This is what it looks like full size... I'd have to scroll around a lot to see the whole thing.

Wow, that's just a normal iPhone picture.

8 megapixels

The resolution is something like 2000 wide by 4000 tall. I didn't look it up, but 2000x4000 = 8,000,000.

The width/height are huge. That barely fits on a 4K resolution monitor. I would guess the vast majority of people have much lower resolution monitors than that.

The point of resizing is that people viewing the thread don't have to download that really big file/picture to view it. By you resizing it before upload, the file size goes from near 10MB down to 1MB or less.

The fastest way to re-size photos I've found is Microsoft Outlook, right click on the photo or photos in Explorer, select "Send To" then "Mail Recipient." It'll prompt you to select a size, then it'll generate an email with the photo or photos attached. Simply copy the attachment(s), and paste them back into the original folder, replacing the original files.
