this isnt the first time he's pulled this act. you cant really deny it now that he wants to be traded. you could sense it last year but he held on but it seems as if he's ready to pack and move on. he did the same thing in 05-06 i beleive. jason is a primadonna who needs to have everything go his way or he gets moody. IMO, this team owes him nothing. did he save the nets from cellar dwellar to finals contender? yes, cant deny that but he's on the decline as is this poorly constructed team. would do you feel about him now?

Here in lies the rub. All is Kidd wants is a team with a chance to win it all.

Mark Jackson had an interesting comment last night. He said If you were to combine the Knicks and the nets, who from the nets would make the rotation.. Besides the big 3 and maybe Sean Williams who else would even crack the rotation?

lol, he said that? wow, kinda harsh

He's a great player. Will be going to the hall of fame when all is said and done. He turned the franchise around and took them from a league wide laughing stock to the finals. He goes out there and plays hard, and when his game is on, it's a thing of beauty. And because of that, I've wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt a lot of times when things along these lines have come up.

With that being said...this little hissy fit (assuming it's true) is total bullshit. Just grow up.

If he indeed is asking for a trade and didn't play because he was on strike, then I don't have any respect for him. This shows you if he really loves the game or not.

i think he's gown disinterested in the game. he wnats to run and play a free, open minded style but it's like he bogged down. as soon as Kenyon went,I think that was the last of kidd's moral. he just wants the money now

He doesn't have a no trade clause, so here's hoping he never, ever, ever gets near a title contender.

Step 1. Hire anyone who played for the Celtics between1981 and 1993to replace Stefanski

Step 2. Call McHale.

Step 3. Somehow end up withJefferson, Brewer, McCants, and 5 years worth of future first round draft picks.

The best thing that could ever happen is that Kidd declares himself healthy for the next game, participates in the shootaround, walks on the court for handshakes before the game and Frank pulls him out right before the tip and proceeds to give him a nice DNP-CD.

I think I might die of happiness if that happens.

My opinion hasn't changed, as I wanted Kidd traded a few years ago. He is an incredible player, the most important on the team, but he needed to be elsewhere.

Kidd and Vince once had much greater trade value and Thorn screwed up. Until Brooklyn, the Nets needed to adopt the Billy Beane stratgey of if you look down and it is time to rebuild, then you are already too late.

I feel the same about him as I always have.

Why would Frank do that? It isn't in his best interests as he needs every win he can get right now.

It is in his best interest because he is too good, too classy and works too hard to be involved with a joke organization like the Nets.

OMG that is the funniest/best ish that I've heard in a while...put a smile on my face after this depressing news...

Depressing that Kidd wants to leave, but depressing also with realizing how unreasonable Kidd is. We all put him on a pedestal and this is what he gives us back...

The Nets lost so much money/time/effort with Zo...and that is mostly Kidd's fault...

I wouldn't mind a trade now. If he isn't happy we might as well get something decent back and he deserves atleast a better shot at a ring.

Still would be pretty sucky.

I think in the past I've elicited the harshed reactions from the "poor leader" bit.

BTW, LeBron James has shown many of the same attributes [glaring at his teammates when they make a mistake and shaking his head in disgust, effectively showing them up in front of 18,000 people; screaming at his teammates during a time out when he should be letting the coach talk; etc.]. They'd be perfect together.

Can varajao be dealt on december 15, or is it later than that due to the date he signed his contract?

Haha, that's what I think about Carter. His situation is a little different though.

I still believe he's a great player and a great hall-of-famer, who has done ALOT for this team...but I'm pissed. wtf.

Kidd belongs in Los Angeles. This entire situation is Kobe-esque. I guess Kidd couldn't make his way via trade to LA so he's bringing LA type drama to NJ.

For those of you that remember windjammer, here is what he posted this morning at another site (and of course KIAN had to respond defending Joumana and Kidd)

Jason Kidd:

Forces Rod to fire BScott
Played GM again and again (Zo, RR, etc) by giving Rod ultimatum after ultimatum
Let's his psycho wife run crazy throughout that organization with her wacko demands and lets her torture certain people there all while sitting aside and laughing
Lets her spread rumors about RJ without coming to his defense in the lockerroom (that went over real well with everyone I'm sure)
Gropes women in bars (and other places as well)
Didn't talk to his first two kids (until this year)
Beats his wife
Continuously puts his teammates in awkward and difficult situations off the court with his behavior.
Overall psychotic and disconnect behavior

Shall I continue?

Jason Kidd=bad guy
Don't care how many triple-doubles he puts up...like my mama said: recognize evil when you see it.

JKidd, we love you on the court and you make everyone around you better there but your poison has run through this team and enough is enough. Follow your wife out. Despite what you tell us, we'll all survive.

Forcing Rod to fire Scott was one of the greatest things Kidd has done as a Net.
