Always wondered how some of you guys have the time to be on here all day. I usually am only on here on off days or late at night. But I see some who are on here what seems like all day every day.
How do you not get busted at work?
I might work 15 straight days or be off 15 straight, so I have no real "normal" times on here, but what about you guys that have a regular M-F gig?

I normally work from home and, as such, operate more by deadlines than by defined "working hours." Sometimes things become incredibly busy and/or I need to go places to attend meeting/presentations and a lot of those times I disappear from this forum entirely. Other times, I can look in periodically through the day.

If you guys don't mind sharing what you do, that would be cool as well. Always like hearing what you guys do in the real world.

I'm retired from the school system but work back to back 12 hour graveyard shifts on the weekend doing transfers and caring for a paralyzed guy..been doing this work pt time for years...great guy...rewarding work...good karma. Makes you appreciate the simple things in life ....my wife does the same work with the same client..my son did this working through college at OSU...doin' my part for the disabled and lovin' having all my days free at home. First time since the son grew up I can enjoy Oregon and go fishing, etc ....hell even my feet got tan last summer!

I design and sell acrylic retail displays, and I'm either bored stiff, or busier'n a one-legged Riverdancer. Lately I've been bored stiff more often than not.

So you aren't in an office with people looking over your shoulder. Wonder if anybody has to SNEAK on here?

Your wife?

When I'm not on top of her, I work from home 3 out of 5 days a week and a lot of the GIS work I do (remote sensing, mapping, etc.) gets eaten up waiting for processes to finish in the background.

First, I fail to log out, so I show as always on when I might be no where near a computer. I like to make it look like I have no life and Denny likes more people logged in. ;)
Second, I have a kick ass boss that relies on me for Blazers updates. He is a season ticket club holder. As long as I make sure my work is done I am all good, and I kick ass at my job.

*Gasp* You can't say things like that because someone might get triggered! We need to love EACH OTHER, not each other's wives!

I always have many things open at once too and this is just from one of my two monitors. :)

Do you have room for your laptop at the drive thru window? Thats surprising.

Ditto.

All A's or I want a tax refund. :smiley-marinesalute
Hahaha. I literally just have to pass my classes and I get $1000 a month (if class is in school all month).

Granted, my dad got 300% disabled to make it happen but, better than living on Army bases and growing up a redneck lol.

...same! Not only do I work from home and keep my own "hours", but I also work exclusively online so the forum is always just a click away. I re-designed my company's website recently if anyone wants to take a look (or is interesting in their own website) --> https://www.seowebdesignllc.com/
