NGTH.

Claver is not the rebounder we need in the 2nd unit and could be traded before the deadline IMHO.

Robinson has to get burn. The potential is there, he just needs minutes and development. It's worth the risk of a few minutes every game.

Agreed. But is anyone not seeing that we'd have Barton coming off the bench regularly? That might be the funniest damn thing about this.

My version:
Lillard/Mo/McCollum
Wes/McCollum
Batum/Dorell
LA/TRob
Caveman/Freeland

I don't like Robinson getting any minutes, would rather go with the undersized Claver who is a better defender, smarter and more team oriented as our 4th big man/2nd PF.
Wright is a nice player, I would like him to get minutes but I like the idea of Barton subbing for Batum at least giving us more of a flavor for these minutes.

There is so many things wrong with this statement.

Like, saying Claver and 2nd PF, or Barton... at all.

I don't want Robinson getting minutes at all. Claver is not the ideal replacement but it'll be an improvement IMO.

The simple answer is this:

Claver is too small to defend 4s, not quick enough to defend 3s and he is not hitting the open jumper consistently enough to get rotation minutes. He is a tweener plain and simple. End of story.

The reason why Robinson and Freebird are stealing his minutes:

They are the Real Power Forwards.

is this a serious thread? dorrel wright and Thomas robinson out of the rotation?

Sorry man, but that's just absurd. Robinson has a much brighter future than Claver.

Robinson >> Klaver. That's the simple truth. Hopefully the door won't hit Klaver where the good lord split him.

I don't care what name you plug into the rotation but if somebody's shooting 1-9 from the field, I want him on the bench and I don't care if his name is Lillard or Aldridge. In Stotts system you win with scorers and we have a lot of those guys on the bench. I think if the opposing pt guard is killing us, you put the best defender we have on him. So far that is Earl Watson at the pt guard position. Mo and Dame are not great defensive players. Earl is. I don't think Dragic would have dropped 31 on Earl the way he did on Mo and Dame. A coach should play to his strengths and habitual rotations don't fit the bill most of the time.

Robinson is not good right now, we should work on his bright future in practice.
Claver plays like he would never shoot the ball but he at least can pass it and should be an upgrade defensively.

Wright is playing great how can you just bench him perma? I'd rather see Barton get minutes than claver. T rob is raw but he's showing signs of not sucking, which you can't say about claver.

Players improve by playing. We just won 11 in a row and you want to mess with the rotation?

I am really encouraged by TRob. His mid range jumper has come a long ways. Not that I want a steady does of it but he needs it to keep the D honest. Not sure how many watched the end of the game in Phoenix once they cleared the bench but he knocked down a couple with ease.

His spin move is also improving. He rebounds well, has showed some good quick hands on D, and runs the court well. Other than the occasional turn over what's not to like? We need him to be better by the end of the season, so keep playing him.

Robinson's value is negative. He's by far our worst rotation player. I believe Claver could at least not hurt us when playing.
Wright is a nice player I like him. Barton is more potent offensively and is as active even if not as dependable.

So let me get this straight. You want Barton, who is still learning to tone it down and is undependable... But Trob out, who IS undependable on a day in and day out basis.

For the record, Wright is a proven Rotation player.
