Idk about him. I've never been able to see him play because he's always been injured, but if he's got talent and if he's done for the most part with those injuries, I wouldn't mind him here.

He's only 23, has a lot of upside, and would likely come cheap. The only issue is freeing up a roster spot, and then, would he be worth the spot more than Hodge or Carroll? Not sure.

He would have to battle for a spot in training camp like Jay Williams did last year. I'd root for him to win the spot, but I have no idea if he's capable of that.

I think he has other strengths.
he is a really great passer, and he has a pretty high bball iq. He is very long for his position, but defense is not his main strength for sure...
I wouldn't expect him to play to much defense after his injury...

I always thought Livingston was the epitome of a guy who could make a career off of being a mismatch. To me, most nights he could be a star rather than being a player you could exploit. I know that he played PG his whole career but he's really a 2 who doesn't have a rounded offensive game, nor the weight to guard that position. He found his nitch at the PG spot because of his length and ball handling as his height at the position allowed him to see over the guys guarding him offensively and his long arms would wrap around his defensive assignment and he had nice timing when it came to disrupting passing lanes. He's basically everything we hoped we had with Zoran.

To me, his bursts of speed was the defining part of his game. He had a naturally long stride because of his length but then he would see an opening and attack it and, aside from the fast break, that was when he was at his best setting up his team mates. He was a smooth, blink and he'll blow by you for a layup type of player. After an injury like he suffered it would be really interesting to see how that affects his blow by ability because IMO without that he's an average player with real nice handle. Without those bursts his man can lay off him defensively and force him into jumpers all day and that's not something we'd really want. He'll also be matched up with a lot of speedy young PG's where he'll be employing his long arms more than ever to try and slow them down and that could lead to foul trouble.

Shaun would force Harris to the 2 if played together and VC would have to man the 3 to have some sort of a bailout player on the floor, at least until Harris proves he can be one. You would have 3 nice play makers on the floor and with our team full of bigs who need to be fed at their sweet spots it would be a nice addition. The trouble would come defensively as neither Shaun nor Devin are guys we want guarding the other teams star wing player.

That being said, If we could sign him for cheap i'm all for it. That's a a low risk, high reward type of signing right there and we have enough bodies where he can readjust at his own speed, possibly being a nice 2nd half of the season, 2nd year player for us.

I remeber when the Clippers made the post season, he had like a unbelivable stat in one game (it was one of those notcing not stats) but wihle he was in the game they had sometihng like 20 fgs and 18 were assits (not all him but he set up the offense for them)

In the video he says he is 75% back, but that he will play this year. He says he still needs to improve his strength, his explosiveness and some of his quickness (seems like all that would be a lot more than 25% of his game). He says teams are coming to see him at Tim Grover's camp...open workout type situation...now that he can go 5 on 5.

There are YouTube videos of his rehab. Long slow and tough process. Someone will take a chance on him.

The comparison with Hodge is something that crossed my mind as well. Hodge is nowhere the PG Livingston was/is, but he can play some point...did in Australia and D-League and in the NC State Princeton offense.

I think he is a great option as a third guard health pending. We get a guy who is almost half Armstrong's age. He is a 6'7 point guard which is just amazing, he was actually playing very well before he got hurt. We would have a stacked backcourt Harris, Livingston, Carter, CDR, and Dooling.

Right now he's a 6'7" basketball player that is coming off "losing his leg," I'm not holding my breath. Lets just say that it's too easy in this day and age to throw around "potential."
