My impression that Larry Miller is here as a transitional figure for Paul Allen. Prediction: When Paul Allen sells the team, he sells it to Mr. Miller and a collection of Nike execs.
That's what I've heard a few different times.
Yeah, I wasn't exactly guessing.
Except I heard it was retired Nike execs.
I think people are off base if they think this franchise makes decisions based off of metrics/success. I love this team, I love this franchise, I've been accused of being an apologist for every head coach we've ever had, but I think the writing is on the wall for Larry Miller to be shown the door...

Tince - you seem to be a very informed poster, who just doesn't spout off about every thing like 80% of the other people in this forum... If you are saying this, I believe there has to be some validity to it.
Piecing together what I just read at another forum by someone I believe has some connections - it apears that there was some in-fighting with this GM hire. Miller wanted one canidate, while Klode (Vulcan's) wanted Olshey. Since Klode & Allen are best friends, Klode's choice became Allen's choice.
Apparently Olshey's agent is Warren LeGarie (who also represented Pritchard, Penn, and Nash when hired by the Blazers). LeGarie is close friends Klode - so it apears that there is some preferential treatment going on there (based on history).
Am I on the right track with what you know?
This guy on this other forum has "connections " huh? Wonder who it is?

Retired, active, it doesn't matter. Miller will be the managing partner.
What about SLY? I thought he was your all time favorite idol.Ahhhh, gotcha'. I'm biased I will admit. Larry is a real cool guy actually....... shit because of him I have had the pleasure of getting to meet 2 of my heroes growing up. MJ and Muhammad Ali!
What about SLY? I thought he was your all time favorite idol.
Who is that Mexican kidnapping your baby in that pic?
I'm pretty sure he won't be here a year from now...
My prediction is before the season starts!
Because he and Paul Allen are no longer on the same page. Remember our GM got fired at the peak of our incline, so results aren't the determining factor around Rip City for people to keep their job. I'm saying he's gone before the season starts!
Eerie...
So Tince, any inside info on a potential replacement?
Anybody with their head of their butt is an insider in my book, MM.![]()
I love how Tince is still looked at as an insider, even though there was no truth to the Soup Juggler crap, and I am still vilified over deal coming soon, even when it did come soon
Hahaha. Nice, but wouldn't it be head in their butt be an insider?
