The death penalty isn't fiscally sound (yes, it costs more money to execute someone than it does to house them for life) and It's privatized.
Some of the many problems I have with it. Quick story:
When my son was 4 he punched another kid in Head Start and took his toy train. He literally strongarm robbed the kid of his possession. Now, am I supposed to spank my child to teach him a lesson? No, I cannot hit him to teach him NOT to hit.
Bottom line, capital punishment does not deter murder.
But here's my question to the conservatives:
If you don't believe government should have control over our lives, why do you believe they should have the ULTIMATE control over our actual life?
