How Many Playoff Wins for the Blazers?

The number of Blazers playoff wins will match the number of minutes of Meyers Leonard averages in the playoffs.

I'm hoping that number is 16, but I suspect Stotts will foolishly try to win with only one center.

The Rockets won against us in 6 games on their home floor. I'm hoping this series ends in 5 games on their floor.

I think people are really overestimating Dwights impact. This is not an Orlando Dwight anymore, he doesn't defend the pick and roll while also guarding the rim as he did in his prime. That Dwight was a one man defensive monster. This Dwight is a borderline all-star along with 10 or so big men in the game. LaMarcus can easily hold his own; but Lopez will destroy Terrance Jones.

Batum and Wes will be able to limit Harden from going wild. The more I think about this series the less worried I am. The 1st round streak will end this month at 14 years!

Lopez will be matched up against Howard for most of the series. Aldridge will get Jones. When Lopez is out Howard will go onto Aldridge. But Jones will NEVER be on Lopez intentionally by Huston. So Lopez won't get a chance to "destroy Jones".
You do realize Lopez is a GIANT compared to Jones right? I pray Huston is stupid enough to match him against Lopez... But that isn't going to happen.

9 wins. We beat the Rockets in 6. It kind of goes bad from there.

Lopez and Howard both average around 30 mpg. My guess is Howard never sees a minute of game time without Lopez out there hanging onto him, barring injury. It's not like Howard is somehow more durable or a harder working than Lopez.

Dwight averaged 25/13 in our four matchups, but he also played 40 mpg (way above his average). But Rolo only played 29mpg in those games (right around his average), meaning we stuck Aldridge out there for 10mpg with Freeland or Robinson on Dwight.

I haven't watched those games recently, but it's pretty easy to imagine Dwight eating those guys alive. There's no way we do that in a playoff series.

13 Wins (though I hope I'm wrong and they win 16). GO BLAZERS!!!

9 wins gets us into the conference finals. How bad could it have gone? :)

Hah! I had a brain fart. Meant 6. But I'll stick with 9. WCF here we come!

We had better hope we can play Lopez 30 mpg. I don't think we can with Dwight. I think RoLo will be in deep foul trouble quite quickly. It's why I think Freeland is so important.

and why exactly did you quote me? I said basically the exact same thing? Howard will spend time on Aldridge... but Jones won't ever be on Lopez because he's too small? Was I speaking Latin?

I think Lopez will play much longer in the playoffs. I forsee LMA and Rolo knowing how to turn it up. I think Damian will be the early weak link, but smoothing things out.

I am predicting 13 wins.

I was comparing the players production for their teams, not necessarily individual 1 on 1 matchup. I care how effective the team is as a whole. So I think Aldridge and Howard as big men will have about the same contributions to their team. But Lopez will be far more effective than Jones.
