I think I said something like 35-38 which is where I think we'll end up. Can anyone link that thread from before the season? This team is right about where I thought it would be. I'm generally an optimistic guy so this is a good thing!

I can't remember the exact number, but somewhere around 38, I believe

I said 32. We currently have 28, with 22 games to go, which IMO is about 4-6 more wins than we "should" have. It will be tough to only win 4 more games, so my guess is looking a little low.

btw, we are 28-32, just like last year at this time, with a much better team. Future is bright

Go Blazers!

I had 41. In hindsight I overestimated our bench.

I think our bench is better than it seems. It's just really tough to play so many raw young players so many minutes and expect great results. Leonard took a lot longer to understand how to play, and I think it took everybody a long time to realize how Claver could be properly used. I also overestimated our capabilities at PG. I thought Smith looked ok in Summer League. He's clearly not.

Fiddy.

We still got a shot if they'd only let Nolan Smith and Babbitt play.

I predicted 44 and the playoffs. Expected Batum to earn that contract but him and Lillard have been above what I expected, what I didn't think would happen would be this bench be this horrible (until the last few games). I didn't expect Leonard to have a big impact but I did expect Freeland and Claver (although Claver has come on in recent games) to have very big impacts. Also expected Babbit to continue his hot shooting from last year and was hoping Smith was more of a "Nate fuckup" then the horrible horrible player he actually is.

I'm sure somebody will go look it up now so they can volleyball spike my wrongness back in my face.

It was already bumped and you did predict that.

you would be closer if you predicted 82-0 like I did! More realistic and logical guess.

IIRC, I said we'd flirt with a winning record for most of the season, falter late, then catch a couple of late season breaks and end up within one game of .500.

Somebody bump the god damn thread! I think I said 28-32.

I see that I said 30 wins......... Hey, I didn't think they would have so many injuries.

As the bit on ESPN goes, "Come on man!!"

A team that old was bound to have injuries. Even without injuries, it was a train wreck waiting to happen.

I just see all caps as a bad idea. Not as bad as cursing a move in a title thread like "Harrison FUCKING Barnes" but bad none the less.

I said 32, which is likely to be a couple games shy of correct.

True, but if you read on, you would understand my concern and even a comment saying I really hope I'm wrong on this one. And to be honest, it's still a concern. Thank God RR7 was right about Lillard, because we would be in a world of shit if our #2 option was shooting 42% from the field. ;)

In the end, I was very open with me being dead wrong. I think I started my "I love to be proven wrong" comments starting game 5 of the season.

I read the entire thread, but am not going to read every thread. Just my stance on all caps.

Half his shots are from 3, so it is not that bad. Add in other categories he is contributing, assists standing out to me, and I still have no problem with the deal.

Lillards progress has no bearing on whether this was a good deal or not.
