He is coming back in March, just in time to get enough games to be ready for the playoffs. Average 15/12/3 in the playoffs and demand around 12-14 per season. Blazers will probably pay it too.
He never even came close to averaging that when he was healthy because of constant foul trouble ... with him almost certainly on a minutes limit when he comes back and the massive amounts of rust he'll certainly have, I'd be shocked ... SHOCKED I SAY!!! ... if he even managed to put up 8/6/1 in 25 minutes a game.
When should I start holding my breath?

Prepare to be SHOCKED!
$1 more than the highest offer?
I say we should let him walk. It will be painful as hell if he becomes what he can be, but I think it's time to move on
Face it, money may not even be the driving force here and it probably won't really be the team's choice anyway; Greg likely wants/needs a fresh start, where being the "franchise savior" is off of his back and he can focus just on being a cog in the machine.
Something else to keep in the back of your mind. This draft is kind of loaded with NBA big men prospects. With the apparent plan to bring Freeland over and should they draft one of these kids you can pretty much kiss his ass goodbye.

Why isn't Oden playing? Why isnt there a timetable for his return? These are the questions we should be asking.
