I think the rules for the next all-star game should be decided by a committee of seven year olds. Nothing off the table, anything goes. Make the players figure out the rules on the fly while refs blow their whistles for completely inscrutable reasons because all the rules get to apply at the same time. Utter chaos. I’d watch it.

Tell me your stupidest NBA rule changes you’d want to see all stars have to play through.

Maybe and not just for the all star game you should only get 24 minutes a game with the three pointer available. Have a digital three point line and each coach has a button that they get to press 6 times, the three point line stays on for 4 minutes and only on the end of the court where that coach's team is on offense.

It would add a new level of strategy to the game and around half of the offensive possessions the three pointer would not be an option. Try it out at the All-Star game.

The four top vote getters are the refs. The others play the game.

Fans vote interactively on level of effort and if not sufficient, the player/team loses any potential revenue for that quarter to charity.

The teams are coached by the two coaches with the worst record at the time.

Kill any side show games/competitions.

Cancel it and let their egos take a hit. Try again the next year. If they dont play hard cancel it again. I assume these guys like being called all stars. Maybe not anymore.

Not bad. But they don't want to lose out on that money.

Maybe make Home court advantage of championship series go to the winning conference of the ASG?

Or losing team doesn't get paid for All Star Weekend?

What in gods name are you talking about? Why would their egos take a hit?

Because they want to be all stars. If you are saying nobody wants to be an all star, then why are we even talking about improving the all star game. Nobody cares.

Thats how pathetic the NBA is. It ALWAYS comes down to their money, no matter how much they get paid.

Automatic selection of first and second team defensive players from the season before. Add 14 hotdogs via the usual process.
