DON'T DRAFT ELLIOT WILLIAMS HE HAS Gonasyphaherpalaids!

Really liking him after hearing that interview.

Bill Simmons has one of the worst radio voices I've ever heard. He sounds like he should be talking about Magic The Gathering or some shit.

Even with his reedy voice, I still love the B.S. Report.

Can someone give me a lowdown of what they said? I'm in farm country and only with my phone

please explain a little more

I didn't bother listening but i do know that there was a rumor out a couple days before the draft that the Blazers were looking for an additional late first round pick to draft Williams. I'm assuming that KP might have put that out there so any other team wouldn't try to jump ahead of him at 22.

The most interesting thing from that interview with his coach from Memphis is that in the year Williams played at Duke he was a defensive specialist. I have always thought that this should be the first thing the Blazers look for in any guard they draft, as they do not have that on the roster at this time. This guy could be a good complement to Roy if he could develop his offense, especially if he can learn to use his right hand (of course that could take a while but I'm assuming the Blazers wouldn't draft him if he wasn't ready to work).

Nate called Coach K specifically to ask about Williams. I have to imagine that Nate received an honest assessment.

I agree. I also think another one for the SF position is needed unless they think Cunningham can handle it. Players like Kobe, Lebron, Melo will get Batum into foul trouble because they are so good. I think the mid level should be used on this instead of a back up PF. The stars are on the wings. We need depth there to be able to handle them.

I didn't listen to it, but today I read Chad Ford write that Elliot Williams may miss a significant portion of his rookie year. It's for sure he won't play on opening night. He has been rehabbing in hiding from a knee to knee collision in a May Spurs workout, in order to prevent his draft position from falling. So not many teams saw him in workouts, like Batum. But unlike Batum, they had all seen him play college ball, so there's a little similarity, but not much. (I'm guessing at what the audio says.)

I'll be the first to give Williams a nickname. "1-T"
Alternate: "One-T"

Elliot Williams. Must memorize. Must memorize.
My mnemonic aids become nicknames?
