"Don't Mormons believe that Jesus and the devil are brothers?"

http://www.cnn.com/2007/POLITICS/12/12/huc...mons/index.html

We've seen this before. We've seen how the Dean Scream derailed Howard Dean's campaign and allowed Kerry to pull off a miracle to win the nomination. We've seen how Hillary and her question planting among other things have hurt her in the polls now showing her with a dead heat with Obama. When candidtes say or do stupid things, voters take notice.

The AIDS comment was bad enough. But when a Baptist minister appears to be non-tolerant of other religions, that could end up resonating in a lot of voters minds IMO negatively.

But hell, maybe it's a blessing in disguise for the GOP if Huckabee falls. At least according to the article Denny Crane posted the other day about the Dems wanting Huckabee seeing an easy victory in a national election.

Big T is not happy.

A consideration to be borne in mind is how much of America knows so little about Mormonism that they'll believe Huckabee's assessment.

I know quite a few mormons, and they're generally good people. They have their eccentricities, like they don't drink anything with caffeine, but I've not seen anything that I'd call outright strange about them or their practices.

Same here, but history has shown a different perception of them - the one that Huckabee is capitalizing on.
