I'll miss Joel a ton. Joel and 2 1st round picks is an ok deal, I guess, but hardly a steal.

Joel has always been one of my favorites. He always played tough and hard. I never had to worry about his effort. He will be misssed.

A prime Joel? Maybe, maybe not. But the current Joel is really not a very effective player...and mid-to-late first round picks aren't all that valuable, IMO. Even if Wallace has declined permanently, I'd say it's a great value deal. If Wallace is just having an off-year so far, it's a huge steal.
 
Good bye Joel, you will be sorely missed in P-Town.

As a silver lining, though, you can count on a standing ovation every time to you show up at the Rose Garden for the next 40 years.
 
Joel is/was the longest-tenured Blazer player on the current team. It feels so weird to say goodbye to him. I hope we can get him back with a buy out and 30 days' wait...

I don't know, double wide trailers and that sweet Carolina hillbilly meth is a mighty big lure to stay there.
 
Joel will be missed. He has done a lot for the team and no one will forget that. Hopefully he gets bought out and comes back.
 
I can say without exaggeration that he is one of my all time favorite Blazers. Perhaps my all time favorite. Kind of sad. I hope we get him back.
 
Joel was awesome, and he was one of the greatest guys in the locker room, but he's on his last legs in the NBA. The guy really doesn't have much left and we were able to use him to get a player that can really help us. Great move by Cho. I don't think Joel will be back. I have a feeling he will retire.
 
Has Barrett been told yet? Losing Blakey and now Przy has to kill him.

Seriously, though, I was just coming on to make a Joel appreciation thread. It's nice to see one here.

John Nash's best deal by far. He gave him a guaranteed contract when no one would. Joel responded to the faith shown in him and became the soul of this team. I loves me some Przy. You'll be missed, Joel.

Talk about a claim to fame....

Anyway, he was always one of the most fun Blazers to watch for just the intangibles. Maybe the most fun since Pippen. The screens, the pushing and shoving, the way he just lives to get in peoples faces.

I'll miss him. But I also won't be that surprised if we sign him back in 30 days.
