HUGE WIN!!!

Scoring 1 field goal in the last 5 1/2 minutes with no big man to go to down the stretch?

We're going to be eaten alive by any of the top 3 in the first round.

The game slows down in the playoffs and possessions are at a premium. We're very efficient on offense and we don't turn it over. That translates to wins in the playoffs, imo. The Lakers and maybe the Spurs are the only teams in the West that have dependable low post options.

We're not getting any help from anyone else.

We just have to continue to win games like this.

2 days off for Rudy's injury to heal....Maybe Rudy should skip the Knicks' game and get 3+ days of rest before we head to Denver on Thursday.

Are we efficient scoring late in ballgames with the Roy iso being ran set after set?

Yeah, whatever. Go tell mixum. Wait - are you mixum?

Awesome win, but it's not like Portland was unstoppable down the stretch FFS.

Same last 4 minutes as always if we have the lead. We try and kill the clock off.

Brandon goes iso, everyone stands around and we let the other team see if they can catch up.

Tonight OKC didn't.

We will never win a playoff series with him as head coach.

The iso looks pretty good if Batum's three goes in and they go up 8. Or if Miller drives to the basket with 12 seconds left instead of going with the jumper, or if Howard makes the 10 footer off the nice pass from Roy. Brandon did force two shots, but "killing the clock" is what smart coaches do. Buy the NBA league pass and watch a few more teams.

Our starting five is starting to feel almost formidable.
Ain't it the truth! They're really clicking together. Andre Miller is the biggest surprise of all. The guy is just a GREAT player.

Rudy was injured? What happened?

Right, but he played tonight. Did he reinjure it?

Not to my knowledge (which admittedly is limited).

Is there any reason to believe he reinjured it?

Do we have to be unstoppable down the stretch? Is that the measuring stick?

We tried to kill the clock off, and we did... Sounds like a success.

Brandon does what every top team in the league does down the stretch; get the ball to their best player with as few passes as possible.

What will you say when we do win with Nate as coach? We won despite him? You sound very confident in your statement, so maybe we could put a 5:1 wager on it...

LOLZ!

That's Awesome. "if we would have made our shots, we would have scored more"

So, The top 7 teams ISO one player while the rest stand around the last 6 minutes of every game? OKC doesn't even do that.

Yeah, and I'M the one who needs League Pass.

What will you say when we do win with Nate as coach?

What will you say when he's fired/parts ways before we win a playoff series?

"Unstoppable" was hyperbole Dan. I would assume we'll have to score more than 1 FG in the last 5:30 to win a few playoff games. The team overall was great last night. Unfortunately we have a coach that takes the air out of the ball for the last 6 to 8 minutes of every game. That will not fly in the playoffs.

As far as 5:1, I have multiple bets with multiple friends already. Made the call at the start of last season. There's about 500 bucks on the line. Will keep you posted.

Are you serious? You think those are the only 2 teams who have a big man to go to down the stretch?

Oh dear...

Nene
Amare
Boozer/Milsap

Everyone but OKC and Dallas has a more than dependable low post option.

And those two have Dirk and KD. Not saying tough low post guys, but they are great big men.

They do. But none of them are scare the hell out of you good, so you can overcome their advantage.

I'll say he didn't get the job done and failed as a coach.

I figured you were just throwing out dramatic statements, I didn't' expect you to follow it up with a bet, but I thought I would just make sure.

I'm not sure if you're giving me props here or not. I have multiple bets with people who know where to collect the money.

It might be a bit harder to collect from a guy on the internet.

Anyway. It's Monday, we are coming down the stretch and my Anti-Nate stance is going on hiatus as of right now.

No no, I do believe you, and I don't blame you for not taking internet bets, that's fine. I just wanted some easy money!

I might agree that Boozer & Amare are dependable low post options. Definitely don't agree with the others. Even Boozer and Amare don't exactly keep me awake at night wondering how we'll stop them in the low post.

Seriously? That is how you turn around what I really said? That is weak. I was simply pointing out the obvious, that other people besides Roy took wide open shots down the stretch. Unfortunately they missed them. But it was hardly a problem with the offensive strategy.
