Dame will want a training camp with the guys before he shares a court with them. There's an excellent chance we could land Kawhi Leonard this offseason now that they've blown their playoff shot

I love Dame as much as anyone, but he DOES NOT deserve to steal anyone's playing time or thunder.
This is where I'm at. This team is committed on D in a way that none of our teams with Dame as the leader were. There's no way that he comes back as mobile as he was when he left and I feel like that could make him unplayable on D.

On offense I don't want him walking the ball down the court and looking for a pick and roll/pop with Clingan on any of our set plays let alone the 50-75% that he's used to.

I love Dame... he's my favorite player of all time but with that said I am really hoping he's ready to play a role for our team next season and not be a lot more than a sharp shooter.

Maybe he'll surprise me with the way he'll adapt his game both to his new physical reality and to our new style of play but if not I do hope he's ready to play a role that is a huge reduction from what he has had in the past.

I don’t think Kawhi is coming here. Love to have a player that good but it’s pretty unlikely he would ever come to Portland.

Deni should become the best Trail Blazer since Clyde Drexler, a true 2-way player that can share the ball.

Here is Deni, at the most important point in the game, telling Sharpe to get the hell out of the lane. He's that guy now.

After Sharpe gets out of the way, look at the Suns' defense. All five looking at him, 4 of them in the lane, 1 on the line, in this possession.

Deni still scores, and puts 6 fouls on Brooks. That's nuts.

Remember Ray Allen playing for the Miami Heat? Allen was one month short of 38 years old when he hit that big shot in the 2013 finals.

I think Dame could be that guy, the clutch 3-point gunner for the Blazers.

What I would really like to see from Dame is to increase his 3-point shooting percentage, whatever that takes. The Logo Lillard may not be a part of that.

57 second video of that shot.

Book is generally over-rated, but comparing him to Lavine is going too far the other way.
Is it? Outside of his assist #s, and he's been asked to play PG far more than Lavine, IMO, what does Booker do significantly better than Lavine, to where one is looked at as a franchise guy, and the other a pariah and awful contract, generally?

When Book gets over 70 million that contract will most definitely be a pariah.

I think Dame comes back if we win two games. He'd make his debut at the Rose Garden and be in a position to push the series to a game 7.

I don't think hes going to play a minute before then though. He doesn't want to play just to be part of a sweep.

If this team goes into San Antonio and wins game 1 and 2 why on earth would Dame come back for game 3?
I just cannot see that happening. Not only two wins but certainly not a return of Lillard.

Tiago knows it's not happening to the point he joked about it. Then he told reporters that there's no way that Dame would be playing until preseason.

Dame isn't ramping up to play right now he's on course to play the beginning of next season. You don't rush this injury and Dame isn't 28 like Jayson Tatum but even then Tatum was targeting this season so all of his rehab/physical therapy was geared towards playing now, where all of Dame's rehab and physical therapy has been geared towards playing in the fall.

Yikes!....I didn't know that Booker signed a 5 year deal at 61M/year....holy shit!

I guess it's relative. Using the projected 2028-29 salary cap of 206M; if Deni makes an all-pro team by then and is eligible for a super-max....and he signs a max deal, it would be around 5-years/418M....that's 83.6M/year

does anybody believe that Dundon would agree to that?

I don’t think there’s a chance in hell if everything reported is true.

Did he have input on the Sharpe and Camara extensions?

We will probably trade him to the Knicks or Lakers for some expirings and then told to be excited about it.
