Coward.
I can't think of a better explanation as to why they'd give him the job. TV execs sitting around the table saying, "we need to have a person of color..." you know damn well that's what happened.Coward.
Bad take. Dude is hilarious.I can't think of a better explanation as to why they'd give him the job. TV execs sitting around the table saying, "we need to have a person of color..." you know damn well that's what happened.
I'm not a fan of him either, but Trevor had to filter being a South African comedian through I guess an American left leaning centrist perspective. That isn't an easy job and if you watch any performance he has outside of America, you'll "get it" and see why calling him a diversity hire isn't really fair.At least Jon was funny, unlike that Trevor Noah DEI comic.
You’re just mad because you two were on the opposite sides of apartheid in the 80s and now he’s rich and you’re not.I can't think of a better explanation as to why they'd give him the job. We're not talking about managing a Taco Bell. He's job is to be amusing/entertaining and he wasn't.You said that much nicer than I was getting ready to post, lol.
Overseeing and hosting a daily comedy show is no easy job. Trevor did that in South Africa before coming to the US. He ground it out on the TV comedy scene before landing on The Daily Show. He was then PROMOTED to host after Stewart left. He put the work in and got the job.
At least Jon was funny, unlike that Trevor Noah DEI comic.

That's how we got you. The mods were like, you know, we need to keep one racist on here to boost traffic. And here you are spewing your toxic garbage. Illinformed...I can't think of a better explanation as to why they'd give him the job. TV execs sitting around the table saying, "we need to have a person of color..." you know damn well that's what happened.

I knew people were going to come in and call him an impoverished racist Rhodesian troglodyte anyway. Trevor had a traceable career path that made him an appropriate choice for the gig, even if his run didn't change my life or anything. You said that much nicer than I was getting ready to post, lol

That's an insult now?
Hiring someone based on race is racist, and that's what DEI promotes. And you seem to have no problem with DEI, so shame on you. That's how we got you. The mods were like, you know, we need to keep one racist on here to boost traffic. And here you are spewing your toxic garbage. Illinformed...
He's a comedian. Hopefully people aren't getting their news from comedians...Jon is just another useless media tool. I wouldn't listen to his lies anymore than I would listen any lies from our American media.
Not being as good as Jon Stewart doesn't mean somebody sucks. The Trevor Noah effect. Was the Daily Show audience "racist" or does Trevor Noah just suck?
