You can believe me or disbelieve but our team is going to roll over everyone we face. I envision us with the drive and desire to be the best. I still seriously believe there isn't a team in the league that can beat us in a 7 game series.

Can't wait for the post season to start. Time to tag em and bag em fellas

Time to give a whole new meaning to tanking a season:

Forgive me for being a pessimist but I haven't liked what the team has exuded all year long. Do you think they have showed this desire through out the season and if not what would make you think they can flip the switch?

I hope the team lives up to your confidence but I don't think that is the reality, I think we can win but we have to play well and win some hard fought clse games

I honestly think they paced themselves. And there is a reason why we have the most come from behind double digit victories. That proves we do have a switch

I thought so too but a team that is pacing themselves has control of their overall outcomes. If it was just a matter of pacing themselves. I don't think they would have lost the season series to multiple western powers. I also think they would have found ways to be more successful on some of the road trips. A team that is pacing themselves still should know and understand the value of having home court. And if it's what you think it is and they are good as you think they are. They would have homecourt in at least the first and sec round. I think it's something different. But let them prove me wrong. I hope they do:

A team that is pacing themselves ultimately has control of their overall outcome of they are a title contender. They look like they have very lil control against some of these better teams

This is what I've been thinking lately. Our guys never get too jacked up over wins and never too upset after losses. We have smart players on our team. I think that they truly learned a lesson from the ass-whooping the Spurs put on us last year, and they know the real season doesn't start til late April. I think Lillard is the guy we'll see the biggest difference in once playoffs start.

Lillard may never smile from mid april on, until either we win the championship, or a few months after we lose.

...you are comparing the Blazers to the Spurs? They have multiple trips to the Finals and championships, one of the greatest coaches, a better starting lineup, and a bench that can go off for 40 pts. They execute on offense far better than we do.

You don't understand what a big loss Wesley Matthews. We have no shot against a team like the Spurs without Wes.

Not only will we smash them, but you will be coming in here and begging for mercy!

Welcome to the forum btw

You guys are crazy!!
I actually believe both sides of the coin.
Its weird. Im concerned because of how we have played. But Im NOT concerned because of how we have played...considering.
Get it?

Well see. I just don't think they play quick/fast or physical enough on either end to do what you think is possible. When they are made to or it's forced upon them they get themselves into trouble. I've seen it many times this year. It's almost as if the opponent over whelms them at times with a good fast solid defense and offense. And in the playoffs, the speed of the game picks up even more.

Appreciate the positive attitude! However, we are a piece or two away, and until we can beat the Spurs in a series, this wont be the year.

So when we beat the Spurs in a series, will that mean that this is the year?

In the playoffs the game slows way down, it doesn't pick up speed.

i really hope we make the finals but im going to be sad i just dropped my finals money on my car. hell what are credit cards for? I think finals qualifies as an emergency

To smash their way through the playoffs, the Blazers will need a player that averages 26+ points PG, 10+ reboundsPG, and also makes 2/3 (.667) of his 3 PT tries.

Impossible you say? That is what LMA “averaged” in his 11 playoff games last season.

Everyone remembers Dames “The Shoot”, and believes the Blazers got lucky. Great, that means they are forgetting about how LMA smashed his opponents’ last playoffs and put the Blazers in a position to win.
