Saw this video recently. Don't know if it was on here or on twitter. I would have totally freaked out.

I had a similar experience a few years back. We were camping in the high desert and I wandered away from the fire at night to go pee in some sage brush. As I was peeing I heard a low growl type of noise, looked in front of me and there was a cougar crouched, looking ready to attack about 5 feet in front of me. I just calmly backed up slowly and it luckily didn't pounce on me. I definitely got some urine on my pants and shoes.......hehe And I honestly couldn't count how many times I have run into black bears in southern Oregon. Every time, as soon as they saw us they would just turn around and leave.I have been that close to a cougar..... at night...... by myself......
Let's just say that I was pointing a handgun and a flashlight at it, waiting for it to make the first move. It decided to part as friends so that's how it ended.

That sounds like the cougar was purely in a defensive stance. Honestly, if a cougar really wants to kill you, you'll most likely have no clue that it's there until it's on top of you.
I'd growl too!You are completely right about that. If it wanted me it would have had me with no warning. Also, The next morning, we walked over to where the confrontation took place and there was a partially eaten deer laying there. I was basically pissing on its food. Depends on what type of cougar we are talking about...It's SOOO embarrassing to be eaten with your dick hanging out.

I saw some old people having sex on a towel when I was fishing at Klamath Lake as a teenager. That was a pretty scary experience.

Like.... how old are we talkin about?
I didn't go up to them, but I would say at least late 60s.
Eh, could be worse... they could have been in their 80s or 90s.
They'll run away if you ask them for moneyDepends on what type of cougar we are talking about...
