Imagine that you actually like the person you're responding to and then try to make your point under that delusion. If everyone did that, there might actually be discussions 'round these parts. I remember when snark and open hostility broke up the real discussions here, years ago, rather than being the dominant form of communication.

Though, in this era of extreme polarization, even pretending to like people on the other side might not be possible. I don't know. I do have some conservative friends (so I can't be a racist against Republicans) but online I have a hard time seeing it even being worth discussing politics, by and large.

Oh we have PLENTY of potholes. When I first came to Flint we drove down a city street that had a hole in the road so big an entire mattress was in it. And I think you're thinking of Minnesota, and 10,000 lakes. We just focus on the three big ones.

Astoria/Gearhart/Cannon Beach are all within about 90 minutes or less from Hillsboro. Good food, beer and beaches (maybe even bitches) to be had. Hillsboro is also on the northern edge of Oregon wine country and he could fill several days exploring that. He really needs to spend a full day wandering Portland, if only for the "entertainment" value alone. And of course the Gorge (preferably the old highway). There's plenty to see and do.....and that's just the northwest corner of the state.......

And FWIW.......I enjoy your input. The tweets are like headlines (or the canary in a mine). If I see a tweet that piques my interest, I dig for more complete and factual (hard to determine from ANY source these days) information. It puts the onus on me to try and find the truth (or reasonable facsimile thereof) of the matter. And if I'm not interested or think it's likely bullshit, I just ignore it and move on......and (backhanded compliment) your regurgitweets (Thank you @bodyman5000 and 1) are far more entertaining and informative (and usually far more accurate) than those of Donald's Trump......

That's it I'm posting a vid of last night. We killed it! and in less than 24 hours have 3 more shows booked now. Looking at a show in Salem and other at the Rock Hard PDX, another at the East Side Bar And Grill and working on more.
Just ramping up a bit so in the winter we can record the full on press kit and be super tight and hit next summer looking for the bigger shows.
