lol i usually get decent grades on them, but i have to type all my essays so while im typing em i get so easily distracted (why im posting this now lol). its like a im here and a im there, let me check to see if i have any myspace messeges and let me check justbball for cool threads its like WTF!!! lol

As I was reading this, I was also checking my myspace messages and putting off my homework. Weird.
 
lol. I love Essays. Essays are pretty cool, thats only if you goet a topic which makes you think deep. I wrote a 100 word essay last year, and guess what? I won and got my school a $1000 dollars and myself $500 dollars. All I did was write an essay about why my teacher's classroom needed a makeover. I wrote it, submitted it, and they replied to me in email saying that I won a $1000 for my school and $500 for myself which goes towards my scholarship. Its a savings bond. If you write essays which make you think a lot and you write it staright from your heart, believe me, you will go far in life.
 
You won that much money for a 100 word essay? lol. Anyways, for those of you having trouble keeping focused on your homework, I suggest turning off the internet
 
Yeah.. They had 500 winners from all over the USA. I guess that many people didnt enter. But my essay was pretty bad azz

Essay: From dirty walls to a trashy carpet, our Spanish class is a big mess. Walking in class everyday, looking at the room, makes me think that the class could use a makeover. Doing creative projects in class everyday makes a big mess, which makes the class look like a dumpster. I know that my teacher works hard cleaning it up, but can use a little help. Having a classroom makeover will make our learning environment better. Our class is big, and is trashy from end to end, corner to corner. With this makeover, we can finally have a clean class.

Heck yea I won. I personally think that was clean. To tell you the truth, I wrote that in 10 minutes, straight from heart, and won. Easy and Simple 10 minutes of work got my school a 1000 bucks and myself 500 savings bond.

Finsihing uni I was used to 2500 - 4000 word essays.


Does anyone ever wake up in the morning and freak out thinking an essay was due and you hadnt started it but it wasnt due for anotehr few weeks?
I always used to have them.

That's hilarious, because it just happened to me yesterday. Turns out I have a test, instead of an essay.

That's the essay that one you $500? Damn that's cool, because don't they usually demand like 2 page essays?
 
I was in my class, and my teacher she usually told us about upcoming essays, and it was extra credit, so I was like might as well do it. And I wrote that in like 10 minutes and won. Sounds cool??
 
Alot of teachers say I'm a great writer..but it's just that I HATE, HATE writing essays, especially reasearch paper type essays.

It was for usa history (us2). we read about why the us went to war with spain from two standpoints, and we had to pick a standpoint, and say why, and add reasons, also insert quotes from the readings, and other stuff, anyways i eventaully finished lol, and i went into class stapled it got ready to hand it in and he was like, your not gunna hand it in today what i want you to do it exchange it with someone, then have them make corrections for you, then make a revision and hand it in tomorro, i was so MAD! lol i cant wait for hockey season in my school cause hes the hockey coach and i think that once hockey starts he wont have enough time to grade them so he wont give them

Depends on which topic you are talking about.
 
Essays dont have to be long, some can be short..
 
That's true, I've just never seen one that short. Most of my essays have paragraphs longer than 100 words. But hey, I wouldn't question it if I got money for writing one either.
 
I think I didn't write any "essays" longer than 250 words until high school.

Good stuff Umair, $500 is more than I've earned for any essay I've written lol (100 words or 2000 words).

lol, from the way you were talking about it, I thought it was going to be some sort of deep Ghandi like 'ish.

The essay is rather poor if you ask me, really, all you did was mention how your classroom is a dump a few times, but I like your enthusiasm and passion towards writing essays, lol.
 
Yeh but the essay was for like 13 year olds. I doubt a 13 year old is going to write a deep essay.
 
I dont care what you guys think about my essays. I won 1000 for school, 500 for myself. Thats all I care about.

just remember that "essay" that's really a paragraph where the same concept is repeated 3 times might be the easiest $500 you'll ever get in your life
not trying to be a jerk, just trying to give it to you real, someone has to

of course personality and a positive outlook will get you farther in life than writing skills so it's good that you have a positive outlook
