For that matter, New Orleans traveling to Seattle last year was a joke, as well.

I'm sorry, but a team that has worked very hard to garner wins over the season shouldn't be penalized because they happen to be playing a division winner from a crappier division. IMO, better record should prevail in these situations.

Agreed. Part of the issue comes from the fact that the divisions are so small. With larger divisions, it would be less likely to have situations like Seattle last year, where EVERY team in the division was mediocre or awful.
