Rumor I hear Paul George's name being thrown around

No way Indy trades George. Dude's only 25, they have plenty of time to rebuild/retool around him. They wouldn't trade him unless they get an all-star or at the least a top 5 pick. We'd have a better chance of getting Kevin Durant through free agency next year.

He might become available, He's a big fan of Damian Lillard this & that.

If the Blazers ever landed this guy I would just be thilled! I think everyone would be thrilled!!
Just want Neil Olshey & Paul Allen to know this guy would be more the welcomed into the city of Portland!

Now, What do you think it would take to get Paul George in a Blazers uniform?

Video was from USA practice back when Dame tried to make the roster during the summer. What do you expect PG to say to Casey about him, not saying he wasn't being truthful. But it's not like he came out and was like "This Dame dude can ball".

That being said I agree and would also welcome PG here in Rip City. I'm just not sure how you make that happen... At least not any time soon. He's the cornerstone there in Indy and I think the only way he goes anywhere is the off chance Indiana is dumb enough to move him should he not be where he was pre injury within a year or two. He's seemed pretty good so far so I think that is a moot point.

Not sure about this.

Are we hearing Paul George's name being thrown around or do we only hear when it hits something?

If the Blazers end up with, lets say, pick #3, would you use it to trade for George?

Given the opportunity, I certainly would. That European Dragon Bender may well turn out to be a hall-of-fame player, but I'd jump at the chance to pair Dame and George for the next 10 years.

Hell I'd trade all five. :)

You've gotta be willing to let CJ go if we're getting a player of George's caliber. We're trading a 6th man for a #1 option!

But, but then were kina in the same boat as last year. No 6th man. I think we could get it done without CJ in there, but it also depends on Indys long term plans. If they are trading George, they aren't gonna be head over heels on CJ because he isn't the build around type and they are starting over. Just thinking off the top of my head. I don't think CJ is as integral as some might. But Meyers might have to go.

It's a lot easier to replace a 6th man (and CJ isn't even THAT yet!) than it is to get a #1 option. Take the #1 option and worry about your 6th man later. Besides, Harkless or Henderson have the potential to become our 6th man - both would be better than what we had last season. And if IND isn't interested in CJ they're definitely not going to be interested in Crabbe/Aminu.
It'll definitely take either CJ or Meyers to complete a trade for a star (maybe both depending on the trade), and I'd much rather trade CJ because he overlaps Dame.

Thanks for posting that. I'd heard Neil and Paul were on the fence about George, but now that they have your endorsement, I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we see Paul George in a Blazers uniform!!!

Nothing else. Your approval was the last roadblock. Deal coming soon!!!!!

Id still rather give Crabbe and Aminu over CJ. I get what your saying though.

We're one of the only teams that could pay Paul George a max contract...of all the allstars to pair with Lillard, he's the guy we might have an outside chance to get. Indy wants a small ball PF...George wants to play SF..that would mean Aminu and Kaman, Plumlee or Henderson.,

I say make it happen...

CJ/Plumlee/Aminu for George

I'd be okay with that. Do it now and pick up Robert Upshaw as a defensive anchor.

Leonard/Upshaw/Kaman
Davis/Vonleh/Alexander
George/Harkless/Montero
Henderson/Crabbe
Dame/Boatright....and of course the re-acquired Steve Blake
