He plays for Kansas, but his name is not Andrew Wiggins. It's Joel Embiid. In limited minutes last night against Iowa State, he showed some jaw-dropping talent. Mark my words, this guy is going to be the next great NBA center, in the mold of Akeem Alajuwon or Ralph Sampson. He's got incredible moves around the basket and once he learns the game he's going to be totally unstoppable. Right now he's a little raw, but the potential is just oozing out of him.

I wish Portland could get this guy. Centers like this come along only about once every 20 years.

A lot of mock drafts have him #1 already.

People pretty much know about him.

Oh really - a once a generation center is coming along? I'm sure that'll work out.

Yeah its pretty much him or Parker at #1. Wiggins is going to have to outplay other prospects to go as high as #3.

Don't look now but he's on the front page of espn.com . . . I think your secret is out.

He was going against guys 6'8 and lower. I watched part of that game. He had decent instincts, but consider the competition.

In the mean time, Wiggins had like 20/16 in the same game

I wonder if Meyers was still in college at which he’d now be a senior where he’d be drafted? My guess would be early second round.

I no longer want ANYTHING to do with "once in a lifetime" centers!

There's no way we're getting this kid:

He would still be a lottery pick because his freakish athleticism and size would allow him to put up very good numbers in college. Plus having an outside shot is very effective when the paint gets packed as badly as it does in college ball.
