Nearly all voting Democrats do, and without it it "healthcare reform" is nothing but smoke and mirrors.

Remember when the dems passed the largest tax increase in the history of the world during the Clinton administration? The result was the single greatest sweeping out of Congressmen in US history. It is very possible that if this Congress votes for a socialistic health care plan, raising of taxes with the eventual elimination of the health care system and forcing millions into unemployment while degrading the quality of health care... they may want to start looking over their shoulders again as history has a nasty habit of repeating itself.

Ironic that they were in the same lose/lose position as the Dems today.

Realizing the only way possible to pay for the largest deficit in US history (Reagan's then, Bush's now) was to raise taxes.

"Changing"? Are you proposing something like a 70% price slash and freeze? That would make it accessible to a few more people, but not that many realistically. And I know that's not where you're going with your "change".

It's currently private insurance now. That's it, that's all, and most Americans will never be able to have quality healthcare if that's the only option.

We're dealing with organized crime, not some benevolent society. Whether paid by the government or by the rich who can afford it, healthcare around the world of the same quality costs a tiny fraction of what it costs here.

Most of the developed world BTW, has a form of government provided healthcare. It hasn't bankrupted any of them, and the rich still can have their private insurance if they wish, but most don't waste the money because it's that good.

Change means a public option.
