Damn. Who knew someone from this forum loves this team. Finally, someone with the right take on this team.
Hard to tell sometimes. Thirty-page fucking zombie threads don't help.Damn. Who knew someone from this forum loves this team.

There are hundreds of people in this place living and dying by every play and they get questioned whether they love this team. madness.Damn. Who knew someone from this forum loves this team.
And they get called bandwagon fans. The self-righteous people are worse than the people that cause drama. There are hundreds of people in this place living and dying by every play and they get questioned whether they love this team. madness.
YUP.It's the rare exception of posters on here who don't love this team. It's why many get so frustrated because they have poured their heart and soul into following the Blazers for years. Apathy is the opposite of love, not frustration because you want them to do better, believe that they can, and see ways where it is.....
....quite possible.
In my short time in this forum I've seen a poster (Serbian) wish death upon our coach and witnessed more comments of pure hate and disdain during game threads than I could ever imagine. It's the rare exception of posters on here who don't love this team. There is little love for this team when things aren't going well. This forum takes passive'aggressive to rare heights.
Frankly, I'm not overly impressed with the quality of posters in here. I expected more than over-reactionary emotion and more understanding and honest awareness of each game and situations. Not a bunch of kids who pout when things don't go your way.
I do find humor in the fact that people in here can bash and ridicule the team but hell comes to any outsider who dares try.
Last nite there was a Warriors fan (dubsfan) in. He was respectful and factual and told to "get the fuckity fuck fuck outta here."
That was embarrassing and classless.
But, it is entertaining.

This is the truest of all true statements, and an excellent analogy.Ever had a brother? You can pick on him all you want but if someone from the outside does it, you end their life.
Thats like standing on the beach and saying sometimes its hard to tell the world has water.
lol I feel the same way when anyone criticizes the Blazers. Even my wife hahaThis is the truest of all true statements, and an excellent analogy.
I am not at all happy when people say harm on a player or a coach or even NO. I thought the Dubsfan guy was obviously trolling us, and he didn't say anything bad but come on why is he here, it's too rub it in and enjoy watching "us" suffer, but some of the posters definitely did not treat him well.In my short time in this forum I've seen a poster (Serbian) wish death upon our coach and witnessed more comments of pure hate and disdain during game threads than I could ever imagine.

But is it OK if I criticize your wife?lol I feel the same way when anyone criticizes the Blazers. Even my wife haha

same principle. But is it OK if I criticize your wife?![]()
Darn--I was hoping you would joke that that's more palatable than other fans criticizing your Blazers.same principle.

It would be it it were. But it's not.Thats like standing on the beach and saying sometimes its hard to tell the world has water.
the drama people have taken over the forum for two years...game threads have become unbearable...fucking king of the mountain arguments are childish and boring...but hey...some folks call that fandom...I call it angst...some folks just seem to live to suck the joy out every damned game win or lose. Chief gets 9 and 6 in the first half and there's a giant meltdown when he misses a shot. Not even CJ gets that kind of hate for missing shots. Some forum members come to cheer and honestly, it's not a supportive environment for that these days....fans are "Stotts apologists" not Stotts supporters …...Even with a million fire Stotts threads, it carries into every thread on the boards....personally I find it less than entertaining. Supporting the team is not being "self righteous" but really, drama is not stemming from that camp. I love this team, like the coach and fuck anyone who has a problem with that...we're in the WCF for Christs sake...enjoy the rideThe self-righteous people are worse than the people that cause drama.
That’s a reasonable take as well. I use the game thread to vent my frustrations during the game because I’m way more emotional during the game and need somewhere to vent. I try not to engage in actual discussion during a game. I’m not rational nor do I expect others to be rational in that state.the drama people have taken over the forum for two years...game threads have become unbearable...fucking king of the mountain arguments are childish and boring...but hey...some folks call that fandom...I call it angst
I actually do feel bad for how annoyed I was last night and even this morning, you're probably right. I can't speak for others and how they're feeling but I didn't handle it as well as I should, and for guys like you (whom I really respect) I apologize for being dramatic.the drama people have taken over the forum for two years...game threads have become unbearable...fucking king of the mountain arguments are childish and boring...but hey...some folks call that fandom...I call it angst...some folks just seem to live to suck the joy out every damned game win or lose. It's mainly because I don't want other posters/fans experiences to be negatively affected by me being crazy.I don’t see why you should apologize for being a fan. It’s not like your posts are directed at the poster. I roll my eyes at some of the extremists around here. Sometimes I’m the extremist. But I would never think they need to apologize for being brash. We’re all fans, the fanaticism just comes out in different ways.
