...this really sucks for some of you guys. Hope they get it all figured out before the season starts.

C ongratulations Monroe Telephone television subscribers. You -- however many of you there are -- will soon have access to Comcast SportsNet. By the time the network broadcasts its first Trail Blazers game of the season, you'll be hooked up. Channel 159 on the dial, if dials still existed. Channel 159 on the digital box. I guess that's the saying now.
Congratulations to you, too, Country Cablevision subscribers in the Salem region. You'll soon find Comcast SportsNet on Channel 9.
And to those who, two weeks before the start of the NBA's regular season, still don't have access? Make a friend in Monroe. That's the best advice I can give you......
.........Lately, Comcast has been advertising for you to contact your provider and demand the channel, an aggressive it's-not-us-it's-them move.
I called BendBroadband and got a "no comment at this time," but the company's Web site has a page dedicated to the Comcast situation, and it comments:
"We are continuing to negotiate for terms that will minimize the increase in the price of our customers' cable TV service. However, Comcast has made it clear that the cost of the channel is not negotiable."
An equally aggressive it's-not-us-it's-them counterattack..................
