What I've found is that most religious places are cult like in their own way...

From the outside looking in... They are all just different flavors of cult.

Im joking of course! I believe in freedom of religion or no religion.
but when one religious group say's their way is the only way....I shake my head.
Its getting that way with extreme left and right politics too, a dogma that your are a scum bucket if you dont buy what they are selling.
