After going to the home opener today all I can think about as the NETS are being blown out by the Warriors is maybe SWAT will get his chance today. Yes Anderson has a nice touch but play him at small forward. And it was a slap in the face when injured Najera played over SWAT. As I was watching him its good that he stayed positive and cheered everyone on. How long will he stay inactive nobody knows. The man brought to much last year to not play him. I remember that first game he played vs Boston and played he well against KG. This team lacks defenders and SWAT is one of the few that should be in the game for his D. Please help me keep this thread alive until SWAT deserves the respect and playing time from Frank & Beans.

Simply put: Sean Williams is the worst big on our roster. Heck, even Swift is better. My patience with Sean is running out, but, hopefully, he proves me wrong when he gets the nod to play this season. Right now, his sitting on the bench is well deserved.

Eleven guys are in the rotation. No matter who the odd man out is, there will be a thread for him just like this one.

Not if it was Bobby Simmons....so far my opinion of him is that he is the most useless basketball player I've ever seen. I'd rather have Rodney Buford back as a three point specilist.

And we have our scapegoat player everyone likes to pile on!

Sean is not happy. His away message on AIM:

"Hahahahaha BigTime a BENCHWARMER lolol aint dat som shit"

It's not a slap in the face. Sean obviously hasn't stepped up in practice.

Frank is an ass.

Whats swats aim? I got a message for him.

This was a game we could have used him. He would have shut harrington down. Or put some length and atheltic ability on biedrens.

Right, because Sean's strength is defending the perimeter :sigh:

Sean Williams is far and away the worst big man on our roster. Even Swift is better. He doesn't deserve to play over any of the guys in front of him.

I predict big things from SWAT tonight. He is our only tought player on that roster.

What makes you think a) sean will play any more than he has the last few games? Especially with najera back, anderson playing well, and boone and lopez solidified in the rotation. OR b) Sean is tough? Just because he can block shots doesn't make him tough. I don't know about you, but what I think off when i think of toughness I don't think of Sean. He hasn't shown any ferocity or mean streak whatsoever on the court. I don't know, I just don't agree with this thread at all. I was all for playing sean when he first came here, but you cant play someone who is putting up jason collins stats (without jason collins defensive intelligence) every night, simply hoping he will develop, especially when there are many other young players on our team that have shown potential and also that they can help us win now.

Damm I want a kool pic of sean williams and hayes. Anybody can help me out

I don't miss Sean. There are plenty of other young guys with potential playing that have my attention. I enjoy watching Lopez, Yi and Anderson.

This is like complaining about missing an old girlfirend you dated for a couple months, and never really connected with, while you are dating three other girls that are all hot, interesting and you have chemisty with.

Terrific and accurate analogy (even if it is somewhat wordy) lol.

I just finish talking with sean he said "man I miss being on the court, hopefully tonight I will get some playing time"

I just want to remind everyone that Sean Williams shut down Beasely in the summer, and I'm sure he would have done better than old man Najera crying for minutes.

I literally don't understand how he went from defensive specialist/shotblocker to bench warmer like I said this is Lawrence Frank and his inability to put a good rotation, soon Brook Lopez will be the next Sean Williams riding the bench and just plainly under used.

Like i said in the anderson thread... Playing Najera sends a clear message to our young guys that you have to work hard to get rewarded. If Sean works just as hard as najera does in practice then without any doubt in my mind, he'll be in the rotation or even starting. You can't just expect coaches to trust that you'll put the effort in the games when you don't in practice.

Najera didn't practice for 95% of the preseason whole sean apparently worked his ass off during the offseason as well as preseason. So idk, it wasnt Najera's fault that he couldnt practice, but your point isn't valid in this particular situation.

No one blamed Williams for the shots ("He was open. It was a rhythm shot that was within the play," Vince Carter said), but Williams didn't appear to be pleased with himself after the game.

His nameplate -- and the heavy plank of oak that it's glued on -- was leaning against the wall, apparently pulled off the frame of his locker.

"I didn't see how it happened," locker neighbor Trenton Hassell said, "but it takes a strong man to do that."

Strongest NET on the team!!! And now there thinking of sending him to the D league because Swift returns
