I'm also not sure how trying to understand where the rioters are coming from makes the grand leap to "coddling" them.....Regardless of what the actual facts might be in the end, this is an accumulation of events for black people, and while I absolutely do NOT support rioting and violence, I get the underlying cause. Peaceful protest certainly hasn't worked and has earned them as much disdain as the rioting has done. So why is anyone truly surprised at what is going on in Charlotte? This is how it usually works. Minorities try to contain their anger and frustration when police shootings are proven to be unjustified. They reluctantly allow "white society" to do the "right" thing and more often than not end up disappointed. So another shooting, justified or not ends up being the flashpoint. I'd be pissed off too. Jeez, I'm 62 years old and it just seems like the same shit, different decade. Nothing ever seems change for the positive in terms of race relations. I can only imagine how big the conflagration would become if, especially in this instance, law enforcement tried to arrest or use deadly force on every rioter and looter.....but then, this is all just an opinion from one of MarAzul's "decent people"......

Generalizing is exactly what DVISS1 is doing as well when he makes a post saying "he needs to stop trying to gain your perspective". But more importantly, you misunderstood the point. Point is people are sitting back allowing and agreeing with these rioters which make them NO better than the corrupt police officers they are protesting against. IF in these last two situations there were even corruption at work (TBD)

Knocking down reporters while the report the news, trashing private residences and destroying their stuff, not many animals will do that sort of thing but there are a few. I'll agree, but I also saw a white kid do the same in the video on CNN, bashing store windows and what not. That scumbag is an animal. See guys, race doesn't matter, its the act the person commits that does.

Maybe. Maybe it was a poor choice of words. What I meant to infer with that statement is that the outrage towards the police is 10x than what it is towards the looters/rioters/people acting like complete dick bags to their fellow neighbors/neighborhood.

And the huge difference here is that the damn police haven't even been charged yet (Because not all evidence has been reviewed).

I posted a link to the story too. I really don't know much about the NC shooting, etc. I just find so chilling though the Tulsa video or the Louisiana video or there was the video from the South Carolina officer who shot a guy in the back and then planted a taser at the scene. These things seem so obvious to me to be an extreme overreaction and senseless killing. It's also why we need body cams, etc. The police (like in South Carolina which were captured by cell phone video) show that the police can't be trusted with their version of events.

Based on what we saw, it seems about right. However, the chief did put her out there and issued her a friggin gun without being prepare to use is with proper discretion.
