I really would love, like in basketball, a guy like Tom Penn, explains the NBA Contractual in and outs. I would find it interesting listening to the pros and cons of those type of contracts
Theo Epstein is firmly against no trade clauses. Will not even consider them. Cashman hands out both NTC and these ridiculous opt outs like they are going out of style.
My stance is that you are being paid your money based on how we value you. If that value changes, you still have your money but we may not have the value, so take the money and years and shut up or sign elsewhere.
