Rehab 4 to 6 weeks. Hopefully, less time than it takes to trade Stepan

Time for revamping. New faces cannot hurt.

Just another reason why it's imperative we improve our defense this offseason and have a good back up. With each passing year Hank's reactions get slower (which is natural due to age) and his risk of injury and recovery of injury get higher and longer. We need a solid d to protect him from getting run and from getting shots blasted at him from point blank to keep him fresh and healthy for the post season. Not for a stupid world championship. It's idiotic that players play in this shit. I'm fine with the olympics, but this is ridiculous.

Knew it when Nylander jumped on him that nothing good was going to happen. Possible he did it in play but i bet that's where it occurred.

I'm not much of a fan but it does help promote the game of hockey. I agree the injury happened when jackass jumped on him. Hank's $8.5 mil cap hit hangs on the Rangers for 4 more years, Nash who I don't see going anywhere with his $7.8 for one more year, Stepan at $6.5, Staal $5.7 and Girardi $5.5 make up 45% of the salary cap. The Rangers have $10.125 in cap space with RFA's Zibanejad, Fast, Pirri, Puempel & Clendening. Gorton has to get rid of salary. I don't think he'll have any problem moving a consistent scorer like Stepan but Girardi or Staal should be part of the deal. I would entertain any offers for Hank, great goalie who could help a contender and still bring a strong return.
