I need to do something to appease the gods so we stay healthy for the rest of the season and throughout the playoffs. I honestly believe that this team is capable of beating anybody. I haven't felt that way in a loooooong time.

I feel like this team is still missing one piece to put the team over the top

Just not sure what, though.

My only concern is the shuffling of the starting and bench units. I'm seeing some jelling right now, but Nate isn't really going to start Nic over Crash the whole season is he? And if he's not, then he needs to move Crash RIGHT NOW to the starting unit in order to give time to build chemistry between a new starting unit, and a new bench unit. I suppose, at this point, I wouldn't be surprised if Crash stays as our 6th man. I mean, the dude is finishing games, and to us, that is all that matters. But is that all that matters to a guy that is used to being a starter? That's the question. I do see the chemistry building.

We could use another high quality center. Hopefully we'll have that next season in Oden. Even though we're a little thin there, we're still good enough to compete with any team in the league.

a dominant center?

Between Camby starting and Aldridge playing there when Camby goes out I'm not 100% sure that's it, at least offensively.

Defensively? Yeah, probably. Just a guy that alters shots I suppose.

I think the rotation is fine for the rest of this season. I believe G-Dub and B-Roy are just happy to be in the middle of this right now. Once we get into training camp next season it could be a different story.

We're missing a solid backup point guard and a backup center imo.

I agree. I really think the current rotation works best for now. We need Wallace on the floor with that second unit. It also allows him to stay in when the first unit returns. I wouldn't screw with it right now. I think the fact that Brandon also comes off the bench may make it easier for GW to be OK with it for now. It is all about winning and he is getting his minutes regardless.

I just loved the rotation tonight. I am sure there will be games when Batum plays more at the end instead of Brandon. But just having BROY out on the floor as a decoy is still valuable. Huge 3 by Roy with three minutes to go. (And of course Wesley's was just as big)

Remember, it hasn't worked for the Cubs.

I vote we just sacrifice MIXUM and be done with it.

I'm not superstitious at all, but where's the downside? ;)

did they actually kill a goat though? I thought they just brought it into wrigley?

That's correct. The Cubs didn't actually sacrifice the goat. I just feel this is something I need to do.

I remember a couple years back a couple Cub fans tried to take a goat into Enron Field (when it was still called that) in Houston for a couple key late season games. The goat was denied entry despite the fact they'd purchased a ticket for the goat and the Cubs won those games. So don't dismiss this goat thing.

Maybe we should have Blazer fans try to take goats to away games. I'm willing to buy a beer for anyone who tries to take a goat to the Laker game at Staples.

Mmmmmm, goat BBQ. I'll take a wing... I'm not that hungry right now.

I was just thinking today about how cool it would be for a bunch of use to fly in for the Charlotte game because there's always seats available. I heard a funny comment from Nate mentioning that Gerald wasn't used to playing in front of a packed homecourt and he was nervous the first game he played in the Rose Garden with all the rabid fans there. It would be fun to do that for him in Charlotte. Anyone know Paul Allen and is he willing to fly a bunch of us in? Please advise, k, thx.

Okay. No goat then. How about a cow? Can I sacrifice a cow?

It is said that James, the brother of Jesus (and writer of the book of James) was nicknamed "Camel Knees"--a suggestion that his knees were as hard as a camel's due to his having spent so much time in prayer. As a request for protection of our teams' knees, I think a camel would be a fitting choice.

I think the end of your thread title is missing. I don't see "'s virginity".
