I think it's a lie

It may not be their choice. The networks could be worried about TV ratings, and the bookies are worried about a sudden shift in the odds/betting patterns. We know Silver cares deeply about the former, and I have my suspicions about the latter.
And the CIA had Kennedy murdered and Area 51 holds the corpse of an Alien from outer space.

And you have done your best to make it that way and why I seldom post in this forum anymore. Since I have come to this forum I have seen very few basketball related posts come from you and instead see more posts personally talking about other posters. You guys do play the victim card a bit to often as it's become like the boy that cried wolf. Have a nice summer

For you conspiracy theorists, if Durant has a torn achilles then why hasn't he had surgery yet so he could start his rehab and decrease his time before he can return. Where are the tin foil hats being handed out?

And to think i was just talking to hoop and advocating for him to let you play in the mock draft.....
Thanks for reminding me i should use my better judgement......

Sure, it's actually pretty likely. Strains and sprains of muscles are often minor tears. Not overly serious ones but, while it's not always true, strains/sprains are commonly a type of tear.
I tore my calf muscle when I was 25, took its
a few months to heal, about 6 months total to do anything on it. The fact he was walking on it, makes me think it wasnt a full tear (if it was torn).

I think it's partially torn.
Renowned former San Diego Chargers team doctor David J. Chao tweeted about Durant, "KD clearly grabbing at Achilles. Not saying complete tear but that is too low to be called calf. Bad news, his finals are done even if there is a game 7. Good news, should not affect his free agency."

Warriors will confirm tommorow that Durant's Achilles is fully torn.

How does this NOT affect his free agency. I’d think twice about signing him.

I understand it's the thing we do on forums like this.
But right now I am a bit more reflective about what he put on the line right there. Also Durant has already left a bunch on the table just to play with the warriors. He has $35 million a year in endorsements.
He has made $165 million in his career.

It's just my opinion but i highly doubt he is worried about money right about now.

Now his agent might be a different story.

I have zero knowledge of this injury, but why does everyone say it is more likely an Achilles and not a ruptured calf muscle?

Location! Location! Location!

This is why I am confused. The location from that video seems like it could be either one. And since he was coming back from a calf injury why is there not the possibility that he ruptured it instead?

I feel really bad for KD. Yep, the GM said achilles and also said, or perhaps misspoke, that KD loved the game. We may never know what really happened regarding both of those injuries.

I don't know what he did either, but he was grabbing his achilles, or where his tendon USED to be.
