The best and the worst thing about Blazer fans is they go ape shit-fall-in-love crazy with totally average players. It’s nothing new. Look At the rafters. It’s amazing really. We all love Ed Davis but can we pump the brakes a bit here?

Outside of injuries to GSW who would've tacked a couple more L's onto 3-8 seeds if healthy.

Spurs and Minn were the two hit with their best players going down for lengthy stretches.
David Aldridge keeps pointing out that when he watched OKC in LA against the Clippers & Lakers. OKC was just stifling defensively before Robertson went down.
But that was the Lakers and Clippers....

I still believe Portland would've had the 4 seed if the Spurs had Leonard. Which if irrc that's where I predicted them before the season started.
Utah was really the only surprise last year. But no one really predicted Mitchell would be RotY

He was an elite offensive rebounder. He didn't knock people out when his teammates were picked on. That's an early 90s thing that doesn't happen anymore. Anthony Mason and Charles Oakley were enforcers.

what second unit? Stotts has juggled the bench for two years looking for a rotation player and a 6 man.....even mined the G league to bring in Baldwin...we have a lot of young talent this season and expect Stotts to juggle the bench again....cream rises to the top...our youth get better if they want to play...

tired excuse.....every team has injuries...we got 3rd because we won games...Mo was injured when we won a lot of them...the Blazers have the most injury laden history of bad luck in sports and we've been pretty healthy since....Nate wouldn't play rookies and played his starters to exhaustion...I've said it before....the need for speed is the new game...3 pt shooting is the new game....youth is on our side whether people think Cousins is going to be the same or not after the same surgery Wes had....Wes is not the same.....teams are signing small term contracts this offseason....1 year 2 year deals....Ed signed for a year Stauskas signed for a year

nah...I don't buy that at all....Ed lost against the Pels just like everybody...Chief plays tough, ET plays tough, Nurk played tough at times....I think you're wrong about that....Ed was great....but he was why they doubled Dame and CJ in the finals...they let our defensive tough guys shoot...this year they are targeting shooters that will make them pay for doing that.....Collins played tough...Bazz played tough defense..Mason Plumlee was tough the previous season...but he was wide open and the go to guy at the end of every fucking game...that wasn't going to beat contenders in the playoffs very often

I don't have much faith in Neil right now. Frankly, I'm fucking pissed at him right now. That MF fucked us by paying Butters and letting Ed walk for less than half as much as he makes.

I made my point.....and you prove it...there's a lot of hate around here this offseason...those were my words...and there is...I see we sign two new guys and think...hey..what can they bring that we lacked....haven't seen an objective post about Stauskas or Curry yet..maybe I've missed one ….I want to enjoy the process..not argue about disappointments that are no longer issues....if I start a thread about the new guys I promise...the responses will be overwhelmingly negative....nobody like Big Ed more than me but I liked Andre Miller too....didn't like losing either guy...I'm hoping for improvement not looking for abject failure after failure...especially concerning Paul Allen's money. I'm ready for the young guys to show big improvements
