I think this will be Dame's year

Agreed. I think Dame well play pissed off and with a chip on his shoulder. Hell, all these guys we have now play with a chip on their shoulder, so at least it'll be a fun rebuild

Dame is a winner, and he'll have to put up those kinds of numbers or better for us to make the playoffs... It's going to be an interesting season!

You honestly think we've got a prayer of making the playoffs? Do we have a trade for LeBron James coming?

If LA is gone, I think Dame steps into superstardom. I think he averages 25 ppg, 8 assists, 4 boards. I think he moves up on the same level as Curry. That's my feeling.

Then goes a couple of games shooting 1 for 12 behind the 3pt line and half the forum wants to trade him.

I have no doubt Dame comes out Ham. I expect him to be a top 3 scorer. He may dish 8 a game for shits and giggles too

I just hope we figure out how to counter the pick 'n roll traps that pretty much neutralized Lillard the second half of the season. A big that can effectively pick and roll would probably be a good starting point.

I don't know; so much depends on our ability to score more points than our opponent, and the players we will or won't pick up in the offseason leftovers hunt.

I see him pretty much as Kyrie Irving with the Cavs before LeBron. Good individual stats, but lots of losses.
I think we still have better players surrounding Dame them Kyrie did.

Actually have quicker bigs that know how to roll?

He might get the numbers, but not the superstardom. That comes with wins, and if we can't make the playoffs, he will just remain in the camp of stars on crappy teams.

Yeah I just hope its not as easy as teams double teaming him all game every game

if LA comes back, dame will average 24 points, 10 assist, 6 rebound. if LA does not comes back, Dame will average 35 points, 14 assists, and 10 rebound. he is going on westbrook mode, but Dame has the clutch to helps us win games. it is safe Dame will be going on full #LillardTime

He will have to. And as fans, we better cheer him on to do that.

What better way to make a dig on Aldridge than actually getting voted in as a starter. If he's scoring 28/10/3 he would definitely get there.

Year of the Lillard
If anyone is good at photoshop, I'd love for lillards picture to be inserted for one of the animals on a Chinese restaurant zodiac menu

EDIT: Maybe not, I just looked up 2016 zodiac animal and its year of the Monkey. That might appear racist.

I don't think he goes HAM, I think he becomes a point guard. He's had trouble wearing down by the end of the season. Hopefully, that won't happen.

Of this is all Premature Educated guesses. We still have cap space - lots of it. The fact that we have a reasonable team now gives me great hope that we'll have a good, maybe very good team when training camp starts.

Yep. The pick 'n pop approach didn't work once teams realized there was little thread of anyone rolling to the basket. They could cheat both defenders on Lillard, knowing they'll bust up the play 80% of the time, and still get back to the shooter 15% of the time. Those are pretty good odds if it ends up playing out that way.

That's exactly what I was thinking. He will have the ball a lot more now. But thankfully he has players who can set screens and slash, that makes dealing with traps easier.

Yeah, when Nic was here, Lillard was like a part-time point guard because had to share the PG duties. But now he will control the ball more and his assists should rise, especially with more bigs who roll towards the rim.
